Woogaroo Swimming Club

Woogaroo Swim Club Inc. is located within the Goodna Aquatic Centre, 137 Brisbane Terrace, Goodna QLD Our current President is Jeremy Bruce.

Woogaroo Swim Club held it's inaugural meeting on 22 April, 1974. Peter Scholes was elected as the Club's first President, a position he held for two years. The main driving force behind the formation of the club was Serge Ruggeri, a teacher at Goodna State School, where the club was originally located. The Club moved to the Goodna Aquatic Centre in 2005, where in 2011 it sustained significant dam

age in the January floods. Thanks to the government funding and the support of the local community and members we are well on our way to a full recovery.

Best of luck to our former swimmer Ava, who will represent Australia 🇦🇺 for the very first time at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Canada, starting tomorrow!

Ava will take on 4 events across 4 days, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙💛

Final day of racing done, and we certainly ended on a high! 🔥

Day 3 and our swimmers were at it again! 🦈💙💛

Every swimmer smashed it today, giving it their all and making us so proud! 👏

A huge congratulations to Milla on another fantastic swim in the 1500 freestyle, taking home 🥈 and her second podium of the meet!

And a big shoutout to Mila, Scarlett, Milla, Ruby & Clay on their awesome Top 10 finishes! ⭐️

The action really ramped up on Day 2 of the Swimming Queensland SC Championships! 🔥

We saw more fast racing, plenty of PBs, and of course, more shenanigans in between events. 😆

A huge congratulations to Scarlett, who became our newest Queensland Champion, taking out the 200 Butterfly! 🥇💙💛

Day 1 of Swimming Queensland SC Championships got off to a fantastic start! 💙💛

Milla and Amayra both smashed out PBs, with Milla claiming 🥉 and Amayra finishing an impressive 7th in the 800 freestyle ⭐️

Huge congratulations, girls! We can’t wait to see what Day 2 has in store 👏
