Golden Grove Football Club The official page of the Golden Grove Football Club. The Golden Grove Football Club, known as the Kookaburra’s was founded in 1995.

The club is based at the Harper’s Field Oval, which is situated on One Tree Hill Road in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. Many people wonder why the ground is called Harper’s Field, it is named after James Little Harper and Robert Emslie Harperfrom the 52nd Australian Infantry Battalion. At the time of our foundation we were able to field a number of junior sides, which played in the then North A

delaide Junior Football competition. Although Greenwith Oval was then the home ground a number of games were played at Hargreaves Oval. The club had limited facilities and hired the Greenwith Community Centre to run a match day canteen and evening presentations. After two positive years a number of committee members sent a proposal to the SAAFL outlining the clubs intention to set up a senior club. Senior football commenced in 1997. The club was entered into Division 7 of the SAAFL competition and played its first full season at senior level in 1997. The club gained promotion in its first season and appointed John Economou as our inaugral senior coach. The club remained in Division 6 until its Premiership season in 2003. in 2020 we achieved premierships in Div 3 and 3R. in 2021 we will field 5 senior mens, 2 senior womens and 33 boys & girls junior teams.

Ready to roll after the long weekend break with all seven senior teams back on the field.

Our A, B & C Grades look to keep their season rolling with a great last few weeks, on the road at . Check the Adelaide Footy League website for links to the A Grade live stream

It's 4 games at home, where our A & B Grade Women's teams face from 1.30pm. The D & E Grade will be looking to get back into the winners list with their games against Sacred Heart OC and Modbury.

We'll see you back at the club afterwards for presentations and meals from the Kookaburra Kitchen!

Congratulations to Blake Williams who has made the final squad for the SA U12 AFL National Championships to be held in Canberra this August.

Blake has played all of his footy at GGFC, joining the 'Burras as a U7 player back in 2021 and he also manages to upset the PlayHQ database every season by being born on 1 January,

Our big 6ft ruckman works hard on his craft and continues to extend his skillset now also being a key forward for our U12 Red Boys team.

Besides being a Magpies supporter, he is a cracking young lad, and we are immensely proud of his fantastic achievement. We know he will represent both our club and our state proudly on the national stage.

Congratulations Blake on this fantastic achievement, the entire club is proud of you and wishes you all the best in Canberra!
