FINALS OF LADIES 7’s COMPETITION.

Thanks to Kaitlyn Insch and her helpers for organising this ladies competition Thank you sponsors including Kawana and Maroochydore bowls clubs.
More than 150 ladies played. Three divisions. Gold. Silver. Bronze.

WE WON THE SILVER . A large number of supporters came to cheer us on. Thank you all. It worked. BRONZE DIVISION did us proud and just missed out today.

PENNANT UPDATE
Our Div 1 and 2 pennant teams played in the preliminary final on Saturday. The venue was moved from Coolum to Mooloolaba due to weather concerns.

The Division 1 team played Mooloolaba and was beaten on all 3 rinks.

The Division 2 team played Caloundra Waves and were beaten 2 rinks to 1.

Both teams played some great bowls but were beaten by better teams on the day. Good luck to all teams in the finals next Saturday.

Thanks again to all players who represented the club ,our selectors, umpires, and volunteers for your efforts during the 2026 pennant season.

The bronze team have also made the final.
Congratulations. The 9 points last Monday was a great effort.
So Pelican entered two divisions and are finalists in both.

FINAL DAY FOR BRONZE
SEMI FINAL FOR SILVER.

Bronze played Buderim at home
Won all 3 with aggregate of 67-45. Total of 9 pts.
Unlikely to play in final. Team 1 plays Team 2.

Silver played Coolum at Maroochydore
Won all 3 with aggregate of 63-31. Total of 9 pts.
Final at Kawana vs Buderim at 1 pm next Monday.

FINALS OF LADIES AND MENS NOVICE SINGLES TODAY.

Maybe history was made.
It was a Flynnathon day.
Lynda Flynn won the ladies defeating Leanne Ellis.
Colin Flynn won the men’s defeating Richard Hoskin. Husband and wife both winners.
Congratulations to all four bowlers who played high quality bowls. Thank you Cheryl Bernhard and Steve Smith who were the markers and Kaylene McRae officiating her first umpiring day.
