After another big day with support from RobandYvonne Pettifer (6 hours sweeping, blowing, vaccuming, and line marking) on top of the 6 hours we did last week spraying the moss and lichen - we are READY TO ROLL!

Bowling recommences from tomorrow- Wednesday 20th @ 1pm - then every Wednesday and Saturday same time.

Thanks to Paul, Janelle, Charlie, June, Tim, RobandYvonne Pettifer and Jo Chynoweth we managed to complete the drainage restoration around the green and repair some under surface washouts today. Along with a heap of weeding and whipper snipping.

Now to treat the surface to kill off the moss and lichen and we should be back bowling in two weeks!

As FYI, we are conducting a Working Bee next Monday, 11th May, 10am at the Bowls Club. Plan is to remove the gutter foam and replace with gravel, re-level the sand around the edges ofthe green, and Re-stretch the sections of the green that are rippled from the flooding back in January
Then we can follow up with moss and mildew spray, line marking so we can play again in the next few weeks.

There is also some weeding.g to be done if anyone is inclined.

Due to the forecast weather conditions Barefoot Bowls has been cancelled tonight.

Hope to see you next Friday the 16th 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

In the meantime stay safe and out of the extreme conditions.

The 2025 AGM is scheduled for 26th June @4 pm at the Clubrooms.

All Director/Executive positions will be declared vacant and an election held for 4 Directors for the next 12 months.

Nomination forms are available from the Clubrooms as of 1 pm today and must be returned by 3pm on the 1st June.

Vale John Rafferty

It is with much sadness we advise the passing of long time member and immediate past Treasurer, Mr John Rafferty after a long illness.

John was very much respected and well liked by all at the Club. His humour on the green will be missed.
