Morning all,
We only have 1 runner today. Update below from G*i Waterhouse
Kembla Grange
Race 3 #5 Entitlement $4.50
Entitlement returns to the races at Kembla on Saturday to contest the Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate over 1300 metres with jockey Louis Beuzelin booked to ride. She had her main gallop in preparation for the race on Saturday morning when working over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Oso Spirited (Charm Spirit/Scattercat). Ridden by work rider Courtney Thomas, she clocked 11.3 seconds over the final 200 metres and Courtney said, "That was good work. She kept pulling out more in the run to the line and she pulled up in good order.”
Entitlement is pleasing us ahead of her first start for the stable. Her two trials have been very encouraging, and they’ve given her the right fitness foundation to kick off her preparation. She’s had four previous starts in New Zealand ranging from 1050-1400 metres, so 1300 metres is a lovely starting point for her and the race is also confined to her own s*x which is always our preference wherever possible. Kembla’s a lovely expansive track, so Louis should be able to roll forward from barrier 10 and get her travelling on or close to the speed so that she can make her own luck from there. We expect to see improvement with the benefit of a run under her belt and as she gets over ground later in her preparation, but she’s forward enough to do herself justice and she should be right there at the finish.
