HYO athlete stepping on stage today at the Brisbane’s.

🥇 1st – Novice
🥈 2nd – 30+
🏅 4th – Open

Something you don’t see in the results though is the journey and improvements Jay has made in the 18mths since last stepping on stage putting on 3.4kgs of lean mass.

This is no surprise though with Jay’s commitment and discipline not just over the last 18mths but something that was forged years ago through his time in the army and his boxing background. Early mornings, structure, resilience, doing the work when no one’s watching. All this while being a father and family man.

It’s not just about the results it’s about the journey and Jay’s journey is one to respect.

Proud of you mate. This is just the beginning with more shows to come and refinements to come.

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT

Huge congratulations to who this past comp season decided to jump into her first season of competing and over back to back weekends competed in 3 different competitions/federations in her first ever season taking out the OVERALL win in Fitness at the 🏆🥇

Chantell came to HYO 16mths ago with the ambition to work towards competing for the first time. The first 10mths were used to build and ingrain good habits that are needed during prep and laying those foundations paid dividends with one of the smoothest preps you’ve seen, especially with nutritional adjustments needed and in the end we were able to even reverse diet up into the first comp. This is a testament to Chantell nailing the big and little things in prep and the hard work she put in.

With her season over now we’ve taken on the feedback from judges and headed into a build phase to grow some muscle in the areas needed and start planning for the next competition season.

Huge weekend for HYO athlete competing over 2 days at the Nationals this weekend.

Day 1 saw Jessie jump onstage in the Fitness category and Day 2 in Figure International.

After placing second in the Overall today in Figure International, Jessie got invited to jump onto the PRO stage straight after where she was definitely able to hold her own and placed 3rd in a tough lineup and therefore earning her PRO card!

Congrats Jessie on an amazing weekend and incredible season so far! Now onto the next we go!

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT

Shout out to who is currently midway through a big season!

So far competing at the cleaning up in the bikini🥇then onto QLD’s taking out the overall in Figure, the very first time stepping on stage in the figure category, then over the weekend competing at the Nationals against an incredible lineup in Figure and taking home 2 podium placings 🥈🥉

Incredible season so far Jessie and looking forward to what the rest of the season has install! Next up Nationals this weekend!
