Gold Coast North Swimming Club GC North Swimming Club is family orientated, focussing on fun, fitness & friendship. Social swimming Make a splash and just give it a go!

This swimming club started back in about 1963 under the name of Mermaid Swimming Club. It had its beginnings in a 20m pool in a Motel at Mermaid Beach, owned by Neville Brough. The Club then moved to the Southport Pool, where it amalgamated with the Southport Club. The Mermaid Swimming Club soon moved on to Labrador, and after two years there, relocated to the present location at Biggera Waters St

ate Primary School - Morala Ave. After 11 years at Biggera Waters, the name was formally changed to suit its location, and as from 1997, it was called Gold Coast North Swimming Club Inc. We are a small swimming club with a strong focus on family, friendship and encouragement. Our club utilises the facilities at Bigerra Waters State school - the 25-metre pool comes alive with excitement and energy every Friday night from 6pm (school term). Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, we are always looking for new members and volunteers who appreciate our energy, enthusiasm and camaraderie.

Kiara is doing Labrador OZ tag and they are looking for more friends interested to join the team. Apparently they need a couple more players. (Girls 8-9) There is a cost of $90 per term and the first time you need to buy the uniform (T-shirt e shorts) and cost around $65.
They play on Wednesdays between 4pm and 5:30pm, depending on the game time. Games are 30min long.

Weather is looking good for our end of season and presentation tomorrow evening. We will also be having an AGM, to elect committee members. It would be great to see all in attendance as we celebrate the achievements of the kids this year. We will be placing pizza orders at 5:30pm, please let us know if you’re running late so we can cater for you. If the weather is not suitable we have a back up location, please check back tomorrow afternoon for updates.

The Rain did not go away.

Currently it looks like the weather will calm by then, if not we will be looking for an alternative location.
