Single Time Trial - Saturday 1st Oct

Good morning paddlers,
I'm running a time trial this Saturday along with a couple of other single paddlers from Northcliffe.
Depending on conditions, we'll either run out to Wonder Reef and back (which is approx 12km), or we'll do the WaveBreak Challenge run (approx 8km).
Swell is looking good as an easterly, so this might offer some bumps on wavebreak. If so, we'll try and incorporate a course with that.
Start/Finish is at the end of the Moondarewa Spit (Spit Finger as we call it). We park further up the spit closer to the toilets/showers, and we'll paddle down the few hundred meters.
Race start will be 0700, so make sure you are on the water and warmed up before with plenty of time. We're going to try and get a time keeper to help out. Even if it is on paper ;)
Make sure you have key safety equipment:
- Spare paddle
- Water/hat/sunscreen
- leg rope
Happy if you're bringing single, doubles, ski, V3's or OC6's.
This run is going to set a benchmark for future time trials, looking for improvement as we head into the summer months and 2023 race calendar.
So, if you have a single and are not planning on any of the 6-man races coming up, make the effort and come on down.
