Day 2 of OZ1 Airsoft Australia Wasteland Shatterpoint done and dusted.
Was a tuff day. We really struggled to make ground or even hold what we had this Morning. Our opposition were just too strong and our numbers seemed low.
This after noon when we "swapped" ends was better. We managed to push out and hold ground. Spending alot of the avo in my favourite playing area, battling in bunkers, buildings a behind barricades.
Very happy with alot of my "sniper" kills today. Definitely exceeded Expectations, sending BBs miles down range and getting hits thru windows and doors and any which way. Is fun when you get a hit on some where that is watching you but assumes you don't have the range.. And they think they are safe.... Bahahaha... Their not.

Also had a great Time with the Tokyo Mauir HK45 gas pistol, my god it's. Good. Like Really Good. Nearly rifle Good. Got a good 10-15 pistol Kills in the close quarters areas where the rifle can't be used. Being a pretty good competition 9mm pistol shooter the airsoft pistol stuff comes pretty naturally and accurately putting BBs where you need them is very doable.

Now I have nearly 500gb of head cam footage to sort thru to find the good bits.
Unfortunately no scope cam tho. First time trying to use it here and it just doesn't work with my Rifle scope setup. It needs to sit in front of the scope.. But the scope isn't quite high enough to see over the camera.
Tomorrow il run the cam on my ICS M4 electric gun that is in the semi auto only Assault class so hopefully I can get a Bit of scope Footage.

Day 1 of OZ1 Airsoft Australia Shatter point Wasteland event.

Outstanding day. Candyman, Vic and all the others that played a part in running the day did a wonderful job. Absolutely outstanding effort making everything run smoothly with out our Main man Spoony on site to run the show (missing you not being here massively Spoony!!!)

Nice and simple battle of Rush today. One team defending the other attacking

We were attacking and sheeeeesh was it hard. Not far off impossible to breach the defences with the numbers we had. We got so close to make solid ground at times but just didn't really complete.

I ran the bolt Action sniper rifle again. But this year for the first time it is near absolute max game legal power thanks to a fresh spring tuned to about 10% under the limit.
Freeking good fun. Sending BBs thru the air for 90-100m and watching them Hit the target thru my 18x magnification scope.
For a single Shot bolt action.. I fired more than I should have today. Some.. Maybe a few More than ideal Out of frustration.

Some of my favorite shots were...

With just 10cm of the top of a hat/head visible over a wall and manage to plop a BB right on the head is super satisfying with one shot.
Taking out 4 of 5 guys that were trying to flank all the ay around us.. And walked straight into My line of sight..... 1 got away.

Another was 5 guys walking towards me... Shot one in the chest at about 80m, the other kept walking toward him.. I shot the next in the chest.. Then the next 3. Not untill they were all dead.. Did they see me. Perfect.

At 18x zoom an adult Torso basically fills the scope window at 80m so you can absolutely 10000% see the BBs hit the target... Or MISS of course. But you can so clearly see the point of impact verses your point of Aim so if course adjust to suit.

So watching your BB fly perfectly straight into the upper chest large grown man and literilly see the BB drop down into the targets magazine pouch is actually really quite funny...but the second and third almost identical is not so funny if the player cheatingly doesn't call the hit, assuming that at 90m away the shooter can't see the hit..and yes so doesn't call it and yes A laser range finder is being used to determine distances

Today I filmed most of the day on the dji head cam. Tomorrow I will try the sniper zoomed scope cam as well to hopefully capture some cool shots.

Tomorrow we do it again. Maybe different game play we don't know yet.

Wooohoooo this time next week we will be in NZ for airsoft week.

Really can't wait to get behind the bolt Action again.

Andy has done an absolute epic job giving my rifle a once over and a new spring and checked out my AAC ready for Nz in 5 weeks.
Absolutely awesome to see my rifle ripping can't wait to sling BBs next month

Iggy and i attended Donnybrook Gel Ballers Queensland Gold Rush event yesterday.
I was nerfin all day with the head cam capturing what it could... When I remembered to turn it on. Sadly soo much good stuff missed due to being.... Off.
Oh well. Awesome day. Huge fun with our kids, Some Squirrels and Jim's Gelballers.
