Tirasamu Weetbix Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients + method

2 Weetbix - crushed & place in bowl
1/4 cup milk of choice (I used soy lite)
30ml Espresso coffee
Mix milk and coffee into Weetbix.
Place in fridge until set (1 hour minimum)

160 grams low fatGreek Yoghurt (I used Chiobani)
20grams favourite protein powder (I used WPI Chocolate)
Mix together

Place on top of Weetbix base (once the base has set)

Sugar free chocolate powder
Sprinkle chocolate powder over the top

If doing food prep, cover with lid or wrap and place in fridge.

Nutritional Panel:
Calories ~295 kcal
Protein ~39 g
Carbohydrates ~21 g
Fat ~3.5 g
Fibre ~9–10 g
That's a very strong breakfast for a woman over 50 who wants to support muscle, appetite control and healthy ageing.

When I strength train, I'm not just thinking about today.
I'm thinking about the next 10, 20, even 30 years.
I'm training for the ability to carry my own shopping.
To get up off the floor with ease.
To travel.
To play with grandchildren.
To walk, hike, lift, garden and live independently.
Because one of the greatest gifts we can give our future selves is strength.
Not strength for a smaller body.
Strength for a bigger life.
Midlife isn't the time to accept becoming weaker.
It's the time to maintain, rebuild and protect the muscle that gives us freedom.
The goal isn't just to live longer.
The goal is to stay capable enough to choose how we spend those years.
Strong now.
Capable later. ❤️

Well obviously I’m still a work in progress navigating Alzheimers. Mum drank this in 20 seconds flat .
Potentially this could have been a disaster!
Thank goodness it seemed only Luke warm.
Scary!
Note to self..
Cool the cappuccino before giving it to mum!

Mum suffers Alzheimers.
My question I kept asking myself before visiting her was …
Will she remember me?

Mum didn’t remember my name, my age, my husband or where I lived but I know that she felt my heart, my energy and my love for her.
And at this time in both our lives - that is enough
