🥋 KYU GRADINGS THIS SUNDAY! 🥋

This Sunday marks an important milestone in every student's karate journey.

Gradings are about much more than earning a new belt. They are an opportunity to demonstrate the discipline, perseverance, respect and fighting spirit that have been developed through months of consistent training.

With our gradings now held quarterly, each grading represents a significant achievement and gives students the opportunity to truly develop their skills, confidence and understanding before taking the next step.

Remember:
✅ Success is earned through effort.
✅ Improvement comes from consistency.
✅ Black Belts are simply White Belts who never gave up.

Whether you're grading for your first stripe or your next Kyu rank, walk onto the dojo floor with confidence, determination and pride in how far you've come.

Trust your training. Give your best. Leave everything on the mat.

🔹 Students who are not grading are still encouraged to attend and train. Watching others challenge themselves, learning from the grading process, and continuing your own training journey are all important parts of karate development.

Good luck to all students grading this Sunday. We are proud of every one of you and look forward to seeing your hard work rewarded.

Last weekend was something special.
First up training at Goshukan HQ under the tutelage of Hanshi Seiichi Fujiwara 5 hours on Tuesday and 7 hours on Wednesday….so much to take in and hard training 🔥

An incredible opportunity to train under the guidance of our Japanese JKF Gojukai Masters — Sato , Takegawa, Fujiwara and Ishida Senseis covered all Gojuryu Katas including Bunkai and refining the smallest details, pushing limits, and reconnecting with the roots of Goju-Ryu.
The depth, precision, and intensity they bring is on another level. 🥋🇯🇵

To then step onto the floor at the National Championships and come away with 🥉 3rd place in 50+ Kata was a proud moment. Not just for the result, but for what it represents — consistency, discipline, and the journey.
A huge congratulations as well to David Robinson on achieving 🥋Shodan (Black Belt) — a massive milestone and well deserved through hard work and dedication. 👏🔥

There are many lessons and values that karate teaches us.

There are so many distractions in our day to day life. We start and stop so many things because we lack the ability to stick to something long enough to master it.

Karate will teach you to be more focused. With this increased attention to self-awareness we become more aligned with our goals, and we appreciate that our journey has a start and an end - whether that is to become a Black Belt, or to achieve something even greater in your journey!

We learn to accept challenges, to overcome obstacles, and to know within ourselves that we have so much more to learn.

Learn More.
Do More.
Become More.
