A little reminder for anyone currently in Level 1 or Level 2 coach training (no matter where you’re studying)…
You don’t have to wait until you graduate to start figuring out your coaching business.
Because here’s what I see happen all the time:
💡 You focus on your training (which is amazing 👏)
💡 You develop your skills
💡 You get close to finishing…

And then suddenly you’re done and facing a big, empty: “Now what?” 🤷‍♀️

Yes - I truly love what I do. Supporting corporate clients, adult learners, and my program community members to grow, find their own path, and embrace their strengths is one of the greatest gifts.

But let’s be real:

The Energy Cycle of Change and Growth

Have you ever wondered why change or embarking on a journey of personal or professional development feels so energising at first, then becomes so hard to maintain?

💡It’s not because we lack discipline or motivation. It’s because growth follows a natural energy cycle, that we often overlook.

🚀 We start in unconscious incompetence, blissfully unaware of what we don’t know.
🪄 Then comes the spark: curiosity, excitement, and quick wins. Energy is high as we gain quick wins, new insights, and the thrill of discovery.

🏔️ But as awareness deepens, we hit conscious incompetence. Suddenly, the mountain looks bigger than we thought. Overwhelm and self-doubt creep in. Our saboteurs (thank you, Positive Intelligence) whisper: “Stay safe. Stay small. Don’t risk failure.”

🧱 Resistance shows up in the form of blame, resentment and avoidance. Accountability slips. Creative thinking and innovation come to a grinding halt.

🌟 This is the confidence dip, where psychological safety matters most. Without support, many give up. With the right environment, coaching and support, we are able to push through, rebuild confidence, and integrate new skills.

🌟 This cycle shows up in all areas of life. Teams navigating change, learners in the classroom, entrepreneurs building businesses and in our own personal growth opportunities.
