Every Wednesday we introduce one of our amazing GC Combat coaches so you can get to know the people who make our academy so special ❤️

This week we are introducing Coach Jordyn, the Gym Manager at GC Combat, who plays a vital role in keeping the gym running smoothly and supporting both the coaching team and our members.

As Gym Manager, Jordyn oversees the day-to-day operations of GC Combat, ensuring classes run on schedule, members are supported, and the standards of the academy are consistently upheld.

She works closely with all programs across BJJ, Muay Thai, and MMA to keep everything operating seamlessly behind the scenes.

While not currently competing, Jordyn has competed in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai at local and interstate levels and is planning a return to competition.

Her firsthand experience on the mats and in the ring allows her to confidently support athletes and step into coaching roles across multiple disciplines when needed.

Her leadership, commitment, and hands-on approach continue to drive GC Combat forward and help maintain the strong, community-focused environment the academy is known for.

Last Wednesday we lived one of those moments that stay forever in the history of an academy…

We had the honour of promoting Coach João to Black Belt.

A black belt is not just about technique.
It represents years of sacrifice, discipline, character, leadership, consistency, loyalty, and an unshakable love for Jiu-Jitsu.

And João, you embody all of that and more.

From helping build our culture, to guiding our students with patience and passion, to being an example of the true values of our team — you have earned every part of this belt.

This is not the end of a journey…

This is the beginning of a new chapter.

A chapter where you now step into the role of Professor, carrying the responsibility and honour of the rank, and continuing to impact lives through Jiu-Jitsu.
