Race Wrap - 05.06.26

The chill of Winter arrived at Dodge Valley Motorplex last Friday night with 9 drivers on hand to take on three race categories including Pioneer Legends, ScaleAuto Porsche Cup & NSR Mosler.

Hellcat Pass was the scene of the 1st event which was the ever popular Pioneer Legends but with Hellcat Pass being a non-magnetic braid, the Legends were in effect magless.

Bazza, Professor, Dodgie & Guru all shared in the heat wins while Brett, Allen & Bruce were the only other drivers to take a runners up position in any of the heats.

Professor & Guru both took 3 heat wins but Guru prevailed to take the overall victory by just under half a lap.

Bazza took a single heat win & 3 second place finishes to actually finish in 2nd overall ahead of Professor by a third of a lap.

Dodgie finished best of the rest with 2 heat wins & 2 seconds followed by Brett, Allen, Woodstock, Bruce & Alby.

The Duster then roared into life with the ScaleAuto Porsche Cup hitting the track next.

Brett was one of the standout performers consistently dualing for the lead in numerous heats, featuring on the heat winners list along with Dodgie, Professor & Guru.

Bazza, Woodstock & Bruce all took runners up finishes with Woodstock & Dodgie having lead wire disconnections during their heats costing them valuable laps.

Guru managed a clean sweep of heat wins to take the overall lead by just over a lap from Professor while Brett took his 2nd podium in as many weeks, finishing 3rd overall.

Bazza led the chasing pack to the chequered flag followed by Alby, Dodgie, Bruce, Woodstock & Allen.

The Duster was warmed up & ready for the final event of the night featuring NSR Mosler & saw one of the most unusual moments we have witnessed in a while.

In a heat featuring Alby & Professor, both drivers unknowingly plugged into each other's lane & drove the whole race on each other's lane.

Nobody realised until the end of the race which Professor won but he hadn't because he'd driven & won the race for Alby.

We all had quite a laugh about it (sorry Professor & Alby but it was funny!) & all drivers were careful to make sure they were on the correct lane for the rest of the night.

Professor, Woodstock, Bazza & Alby (courtesy of Professor) all took heat wins while Guru, Dodgie, Woodstock & Brett all managed runners up finishes.

Bazza & Professor both took 3 heat wins but with the mix up of Alby & Professor in the earlier heat, Bazza took the overall victory by just over a lap from Guru with 3 second place finishes while Professor took the final podium position only a third of a lap behind Guru.

Woodstock just missed out on the podium by 0.16 of a lap with 2 heat wins & was chsed to the chequered flag by Brett, Dodgie, Alby (1 heat win), Allen & Bruce.

Thank-you to all those who were able to come along & make it a fun night.

Categories for the next fortnight will be:

Vintage NASCAR (open) on Hellcat Pass

Slot.it Group C (magless) & ScaleAuto Porsche Cup (magless) on The Duster.

Hope to see you all there.

Race Wrap - 29.05.26

Dodge Valley Motorplex was the scene of some super close racing last Friday night with 9 drivers on hand to contest the usual triple challenge that included Pioneer Legends, ScaleAuto Porsche Cup & NSR Mosler.

Pioneer Legends headed the schedule & were on Hellcat Pass which ensured plenty of carnage with the semi covered wheels.

Heat wins were shared between Guru, Professor, Bazza & Dodgie while Tony.

Tony struggled with a transmission problem early on but managed a 2nd place finish along with a pair for Woodstock.

Professor & Guru both took 3 heat wins each but Professor took the overall win by just under half a lap from Guru with Dodgie taking the final step on tge the podium with 2 heat wins.

Bazza finished best of rest ahead of Woodstock, Brett, Alby, Allen & Tony.

ScaleAuto Porsche Cup was up on The Duster next & saw some close battles in most heats with multiple lead changes.

Allen, Woodstock, Guru, Professor & Dodgie all took heat wins while Tony, Bazza & Brett all managed some runners up finishes.

Guru launched his car completely off the track at one stage but managed to regain his composure to take the overall win by just under half a lap with 3 heat wins from Allen who had a great run taking 2 heat wins & 1 second.

Brett also drove well to edge out Dodgie for the final podium position after Dodgie's car stopped unexpectedly in the final seconds of the final heat costing him a couple of laps.

Woodstock & Professor finished only half a lap behind Brett while Bazza, Tony & Alby rounded out the field.

We finished the night with NSR Mosler on The Duster with Professor, Bazza, Guru & Dodgie sharing the heat wins between them while Tony, Brett, Woodstock & Alby all had runners up finishes.

Professor took a clean sweep of heat wins to secure the overall victory by 3/4 of a lap from Guru who finished with 2 wins.
Bazza finished 0.01 of a lap behind Guru with 2 heat wins also after tge the pair had some close battles, one in particular where their fastest laps were separated by just 0.001 of a second & Alby was in the mix too.

Dodgie lead the chasing pack to the chequered flag & was followed closely by Alby, Brett, Tony, Woodstock & Allen.

Thank-you to all those who could make it.
Categories remain the same for this week.

Hope to see you all there.

Race Wrap - 14.05.26

Dodge Valley Motorplex opened its door last Thursday night instead of the usual Friday night & saw 9 racers in action across 3 events including Vintage GP, Lemans Classic & Open GT.

Vintage GP was up 1st on Hellcat Pass.
Alby, Professor, Guru, Dodgie & Woodstock all featured on the heat winners list.
Allen & Bazza both took 3 second place finishes.

Professor took the overall win with a clean sweep of heat wins to finish just over a lap ahead of Guru with 2 heat wins.
Alby took the final podium position with 1 heat win & 1 second place finish to finish just over half a lap behind Guru.

Allen had a great run to finish best of the rest & only 3/4 of a lap off the podium.
He was followed by Woodstock, Dodgie, Bazza, Brett & Tony.

Our attention then turned to The Duster for the remaining 2 events with Lemans Classic on track next.

Heat wins were split between Bazza, Woodstock, Professor & Guru while Alby & Dodgie took several 2nd place finishes between them.

Professor & Bazza both took 3 heat wins each but Professor prevailed to take the overall win by about 3/4 of a lap from Guru who took 2 heat wins & a second while Bazza finished only 0.03 of a lap behind Guru.

Woodstock finished only 0.12 of a lap off the podium & lead Dodgie, Alby, Tony, Brett & Allen to the chequered flag.

We finished the night with Open GT & saw Alby, Guru, Bazza & Professor all taking heat wins while Tony & Woodstock took several second place finishes between them.

Professor had a technical issue in his 1st heat which saw him only complete 3 laps but he returned with a spare car to win his remaining 3 heats.

Bazza took the overall win with a clean sweep of heat wins to finish just under 3 laps ahead of Alby with 1 heat win & 2 seconds, while Guru finished just under a lap behind Alby with the same heat results.

Woodstock again finished best of the rest chased to the finish by Tony, Dodgie, Brett, Allen & Professor.

Thank-you to all who came out to make it an fun night.

Categories remain the same again for this week with racing back on Friday night.

Hope to see you all there.

Race Wrap - 08/05/26

Last Friday night saw a total of 10 drivers roll up for another night of great racing that featured Classic Sportscars, RevoSlot GT & Open GT.

Classic Sportscars were up 1st on Hellcat Pass with 7 drivers sharing the 10 heat wins on offer including Bazza, Professor, Brett, Woodstock, Guru, Dodgie & Tony.

Professor took the overall victory taking 3 heat wins & a 2nd place finish to finish 1.5 laps ahead of Guru who finished with 2 heat wins & a 2nd place finish.

Woodstock took the final podium position with 1 heat win & 3 second place finishes to be just over a lap behind Guru.

Tony drove like a gentleman which probably cost him a podium finish after taking 1 heat win & 2 second place finishes as he was only 0.06 of a lap behind Woodstock.
Brett put together a good run to finish just behind Tony & just ahead of Alby who lead Bazza, Dodgie, Bruce & Allen took the chequered flag.

RevoSlot GT were next up on Hellcat Pass & saw some of the best racing we've seen.
Again there were numerous heat winners including Professor, Dodgie, Guru, Woodstock, Brett, Allen & Bazza.

There were many close finishes with multiple drivers finishing on the lead lap & surprisingly minimal carnage.

Although Professor took 3 heat wins, Guru snagged the overall victory with a single heat win & 3 second place finishes to finish just over a lap ahead of Professor.

Dodgie took a single heat win & 2 second place finishes to take the final podium position only 0.31 of a lap behind Professor.

Allen put in a great drive to take 2 heat wins & finish only 0.12 of a lap off the podium to finish ahead of Bazza, Tony, Alby, Woodstock, Brett & Bruce.
2nd to 6th were covered by only half a lap while 7th to 9th were separated by only a quarter of a lap.
Probably one of the closest overall results we've ever seen.

The night concluded with Open GT & saw Guru, Alby, Bazza, Woodstock, Dodgie & Professor feature in the heat winners list.

Guru secured the overall win with a clean sweep of heat victories to finish just over 4 laps ahead of Woodstock who finished with 1 heat win & 3 second place finishes while Alby managed 2 heat wins to finish in the final podium position just over half a lap behind Woodstock.

Bazza finished best of the rest only a quarter of a lap off the podium after taking 1 heat win & 1 2nd place finish & lead Dodgie, Brett, Tony, Allen, Bruce & Professor to the chequered flag.

Professor had some technical gremlins with his Porsche that hindered his progress in his first 3 heats.

Thank-you to all those who contributed to a great night of racing including Bruce who made the trek down from Toowoomba again.

This week racing will be held on Thursday night instead of Friday night.

Categories for the next fortnight will be as follows:

Open GT on The Duster

Note: error in scheduling as follows:

Lemans Classic will be held on The Duster, not Hellcat Pass as currently scheduled.
