✈️ International Development Tour Announcement! 🇳🇿

We are excited to announce a fantastic new opportunity for our Little Athletes in the upcoming 2026-27 season. Little Athletics SA is partnering with Little Athletics Victoria to take a combined team of 12 athletes from the Under 14 and Under 15 age groups to the North Island Colgate Games in New Zealand!

This initiative is designed as a development tour, offering a unique opportunity to recognise and reward athletes who truly embody the spirit of our sport. While performance is a factor, selection will look broadly at an athlete's overall commitment and involvement in the Little Athletics community.

Key Details:

Eligibility: Open to registered South Australian Little Athletes for the 2026-27 season.

Who: A total SA team of 12 athletes from the Under 14 and Under 15 age groups.

Nominations Open: August 2026.

WINTER TRACK & FIELD CHALLENGE - Sunday 26 July 2026 starting at 3pm at SA Athletics Stadium

The Winter Track & Field Challenge will replace the Winter Track Series in 2026, introducing a new one-afternoon event where athletes will compete in four events:
- 2 Track Events
- 2 Field Events

Athletes will accumulate points as they battle for a place in the top three of each age group. The format is designed to cater for all athletes, including those who are less focused on individual competition, with every performance contributing valuable points toward their club’s overall score.

The existing “Club vs Club” point score will remain, with clubs continuing to compete for the Club Winners Trophy.

- Entries Open: Midday, Wednesday 24 June
- Entries Close: 11:59pm, Wednesday 22 July

A huge congratulations to our athletes Ivy, Tempany & Jasmine on being recognised at the Little Athletics South Australia 2026 Association Awards Night.

To be acknowledged at a state level is an incredible achievement and something to be truly proud of. These awards are a reflection of the dedication, hard work, energy and team spirit each athlete has shown throughout the season.

Congratulations also to all the other athletes who were finalists and little athletics centres recognised throughout the evening.

Now that our athletes are done with the summer season and preparing for some cross country and race walking, we would like to take some time to thank our sponsors.
