Glenormiston Indoor Bowls Wraps Up a Successful Season
As the indoor bowls season comes to a close, Glenormiston Indoor Bowls Club reflects on a year filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and memorable moments. Our Monday
social bowls nights saw a strong turnout, offering a perfect blend of competition and fun.
On the competitive front, our Division One team had an outstanding season, winning every game in the regular competition and finishing on top of the ladder. Despite their strong
performance, they were narrowly defeated in the Grand Final.
This year, we also fielded two Division Two teams. Glenormiston 2 finished 5th on the ladder, while Glenormiston 3 placed 8th. Both teams showed great spirit and determination
throughout the season.
The Club Championships were fiercely contested, with Scott Pierce taking home the Men’s Singles title and Deb Cheslett claiming the Ladies Singles. In the Pairs competition, Deb Noonan and Jim Forssman emerged victorious, while Scott Pierce, Noel Uebergang, Danielle Gilchrist, and Thelma Miller made up the winning team in the Fours.

At our recent Presentation Night, we had the honour of awarding Life Membership to Max Heard, a founding member of the club in 1981. Max has been an integral part of our club’s success over the years, serving as both President and Vice President and continuing to contribute in various roles.
It’s been a fantastic season, and we look forward to another year of bowls, friendship, and achievement!
