🙏 This week we awarded grants to 32 community clubs and organisations, benefiting a wide range of activities that enhance the community and culture. These grants are making a significant impact on the social and economic life of the city.
⚽ Multicultural soccer tournaments, such as the Tasmanian African and Friends Soccer tournament, are receiving support, enabling teams like the Black Scorpions Tasmania to acquire uniforms and balls for their participation.
🐉 Major community events like the Chinese Lunar New Year Festival and the Diwali Event are also benefiting from the grants, fostering cultural diversity and community engagement. These events play a vital role in celebrating different cultures and bringing the community together.
🏉 Beyond sports and cultural events, the grants are also supporting other initiatives. For example, the Hobart Masters Football Club Program utilised its grant to purchase a defibrillator, enhancing the club's ability to respond to emergencies and potentially save lives.
🧑🤝🧑 These grants contribute to creating a vibrant and inclusive community in Hobart, where people from diverse backgrounds can come together, share their cultures, and engage in meaningful activities.
