🏸 2026 Badminton Tasmania – The David Turner Trophy 🏸

The David Turner Trophy is awarded annually to a Tasmanian player competing at the Ede Clendinnen Shield who demonstrates outstanding quality of play, exemplary court demeanour, sportsmanship, and pride in performance.

The award honours David Turner for his exceptional contribution to badminton in Tasmania and Australia. David represented Tasmania for over 12 years, served as a state coach, fulfilled the role of Open State Team Umpire for more than 25 Ede Clendinnen Shields, and continues to contribute to the sport as a current Badminton Tasmania Board Member.

The trophy is decided through a 3-2-1 voting system conducted after each tie throughout the event.

🏆 2026 Results. Winner – Brent Munday, Runner Up – HZ D**g, 3rd Place – Karin Ng

The 2026 Ede Clendinnen Shield was proudly held at KG Badminton Centre, Forrestdale, Western Australia.
