In alignment with tomorrow charity super Saturday we thought we’d take a focus an often neglected aspect of health and well-being- mental health!
Get your mind right and the rest will fall into line 🥰
Here are our top tips for improving your mental health:
❤️Always set a physical and mental health goal.
you might be focusing on shedding a few kilos there are other benefits of exercise to consider. An example of a mental health goal is to make time to do something you enjoy. Making deliberate time for yourself and yourself alone, is a way to show yourself some love. Life is busy and chaotic, but you can at least give yourself some time too.
❤️Create a Routine.
Bringing stability to your life and can provide security when things might be rough in life. Implementing a small routine every day helpsOur body will start working with muscle memory and you have more time to think about important things
❤️Eat the damn chocolate-
BFT is all about that healthy and balanced lifestyle. Coming out of the challenge, its important not to get into forceful restrictive habits. You are allowed to eat something if you feel like it. Otherwise, you end up craving it more anyway
❤️Allow time for self care-
Remember you can’t pour from an empty cup! Treat yourself- go for a walk, have a bath, watch a show you like, read a book…even training can be a form of self care!
❤️ Don’t focus purely on the scales!- results come in many ways… photos, measurements even strength changes are a great way to focus on progress!
Celebrate the wins- big or small!
❤️ Reach out for help
Whether it’s to a friend, family member, partner, coworker or just through services such as lifeline, headspace or beyond blue. Always know you can speak up and you are not alone 🥰
❤️ surround yourself with people who raise you up and don’t be afraid to cut off people who do not serve you-
These two go hand in hand.. remember you are a combination of the 5 people you spend the most time with so choose who those people are wisely 💕
