🏒 We can't wait to welcome Matt Clark to Hobart! 🔥❄️

The Ice Hockey Classic are excited to announce the return of fan favorite Matt Clark for the 2026 series in Hobart and Canberra as he pulls on a USA jersey to take on arch rival Canada July 10 and 11 in the AIS Arena.

Matt played for the Brave last season and was a dynamic defenceman who was a backstop on the Brave blue line. His exceptional skating style and his hockey IQ puts him into an elite position to help the USA defend the Cup. Clark is well known for his consistent defensive play while having a huge offensive upside. He played with the Evansville Thunderbolts this past season and help the Bolts to lift the SPHL President’s Cup.

Many fans in Canberra and around the AIHL will remember him with the Brave and was not only a force on ice but always the entertainer. He exudes confidence in his game and has pure passion not only for hockey but for the fans. Last year Matt loved the electric atmosphere in the AIS and was blown away by the community support and the fan enthusiasm!

“The best fans to play for in Australia. I am excited to return and get a chance to play one more time in front of these amazing Brave fans. Also to play in a memorial game for Leeroy Peterson is simply over the top. He is missed and a legend not only in Canberra but in the entire Australian ice hockey community,” explains Clark. “I am extremely proud to join the USA in the Ice Hockey Classic and having the chance to play in the historic series in Hobart.”

Our Sensory Sessions offer a calmer, more relaxed way to enjoy SHIVER, designed for guests who benefit from a low-stimulation environment.During these dedicated sessions, we reduce capacity and adjust the rink atmosphere to create a more comfortable experience. Lighting is softened, music is lowered, and overall crowd numbers are limited, helping to minimise sensory overload while still allowing everyone to enjoy the magic of skating on real ice.Whether it’s your first time on skates or you’re returning for another glide, Sensory Sessions provide a welcoming space for individuals, families, and carers to enjoy SHIVER at their own pace.

Little ones aged 5 and up are welcome to skate! Children under 5 are welcome to watch and cheer from the sidelines.
