Some of our Glenmaggie members travelled interstate to Berri to compete in the USA & NZ v Australia challenge

Shiver - Bailey Kanara
Tickled Pink - Drew Reid
Freedom - Bob Reid
Addicted - Micheal Johnson
Ruthless - Jason Jones

Mikey having a good crack at Mildura but succumbing to engine troubles had to withdraw half way through Berri
Jason still learning the blown class got good seat time against some more experienced competitors, not long until he’ll be a hard charger.
Bob and Drew had a good and consistent run in the 85 Mph class, Bob picked up 2nd place and Drew 4th. The boys with a smaller motor still put up a good fight.
Bailey Kanara in Shiver come away with a 3rd in the 25/550 class behind 2 x 550’s.
We also had a lot of Glenmaggie supporters cheering on in the crowds and giving a helping hand in the pits, GDBC represent!

Well it’s with great sadness that the club announces the passing of Peter Bodey, one of the legends of boat racing in his era.
He was competitive, fast and reliable in his career.
Peter was only at the club a few moths ago for its 70th anniversary catching up with his old rivals having a laugh about there time in the seat!
Peter still followed the racing a bit as it was always in his blood.
His beloved race boats LOCO 2 and then his Stephen’s tunnel runner Sexsessive were always a crowd pleaser, I do remember he may have had a steer of a blown flat bottom also.
Our sincere condolences to all the Bodey family
May you RIP

The Chesser boys are out for redemption after some setbacks at last years event, they’ve tried all sorts of new and different things to try and get them at the front of the field, a massive effort from their crew and supporters but a special mention to Ben Swan for his efforts at the recent Windsor spectacular has got them looking very competitive…
Make sure you come and see the boys in action
