Glenlyon & District Pony Club

Glenlyon & District Pony Club Glenlyon and District Pony Club is a place to come together, make new friends, learn new skills, compete and have fun in a beautiful environment.

Glenlyon and District Pony Club is a lovely small club set in the beautiful surrounds of the Glenlyon Recreation Reserve. We pride ourselves on building a fun, nurturing, intimate, strong family environment for riders and horses to develop new and refine existing horse mastership skills. Rallies are held the 3rd Sunday of every month from 10am (to which the grounds are closed to other public rider

s on these days). Rallies consist of 3-4 lessons over the day, ranging from dressage, show jumping, cross country, trail and navigation riding, games and horse mastership classes. Our variety of wonderfully talented instructors are here to aid in the development of the horse and rider combination. Building a stronger bond and confidence in all. Our fantastic facilities, include 2 large sand arenas, an oval, working track, show jumping area and an amazing state qualifying cross country course. Regular events:
Jan 1: News Years Sports day (show jumping, races and cross country)
Sun Feb 23: State Qualifying Horse Trails (PCAV and open classes). Nov: Daylesford Show (turnout classes and show jumping classes)

Our wonderful volunteers of family member and organisational committee work hard to keep our families up to date and informed and our cub functioning successfully. We welcome and encourage your feedback and interaction. Donations welcome, to be placed directly back into the development of our clubs education, resources and facilities. Congratulations Sophie and Arlo having a ripper run at the State Horse Trials on the weekend at Colac PC grounds.

The weather was a bit of a shame for all, but the pair gave all phases a red hot go and did fantastic. Having a blast and learning lots along the way.

Keep up the amazing work Sophie you have been working so hard and doing fantastic. Enjoy the journey and congrats on a terrific effort at state representing Central Zone.

Well done happy riding.

Thanks again to all the sponsors, organising committees PCA, PCV, CZ, Colac PC and all the volunteers for making the weekend possible.

Congratulations Lily and Wilbur having a great outing at the State Horse trails on the weekend hosted by Colac pony club.

A lovely test to start, finished with a great clear cross country placing the pair seventh individually and the team placing third overall.

The state experience is a terrific way to complete as a team often mixed across clubs in our zones. So a fantastic opportunity for riders to meet and support together

Thanks to all the sponsors, hosting club Colic, central zone and all zones and PCA and PCV for the opportunity for all riders.
