Congratulations to Jaxn Sign, awarded T20 Player of the Year at Magpies Senior Presentation night.💥

The T20 competition represents the modern evolution of cricket — a different challenge to the traditional Poole Cup one-day format, built on fast-paced action and big hitting, and recognised separately.

With only four weekends played in a rain-interrupted T20 season, Jaxn made every opportunity count, with the bat and behind the stumps.

This season, that honour belongs to our very own Magpies Young Gun, Liam Zurvas. 🔥

Liam has been awarded the club’s Top A-Grade Player honour after an outstanding season. Pictured with his impressive haul of trophies, this achievement is a true reflection of his hard work, dedication, and commitment throughout the season. 👏🏏

Recently at our Senior end of season celebration, we took the opportunity to give a huge thank you to our incredible Magpies Cricket Club Mackay Committee for everything they do behind the scenes. Their dedication, time, and passion are what make our club a place with such a strong reputation as a welcoming, family-friendly community. 🙌

So much work goes on that many don’t see, and it truly is a team effort.

❤️ A special mention and acknowledgement also to the committee members’ partners, wives, husbands and families - you see firsthand the time and effort that goes into giving back so others get the opportunity to play cricket, helping to build connections and create a real sense of belonging, which is what our club is all about. ❤️

Brendan serves as our dedicated Club Secretary, Junior Coach Coordinator, Junior Coach, and this award recognises his incredible commitment, passion, and tireless efforts behind the scenes that help make our club what it is. From supporting players and volunteers to always stepping up when needed, Brendan truly embodies the spirit of Magpies Cricket. 🖤🤍
