Brother’s Run

Brother’s Run A 5km run, once a week, at your own pace. A place where guys can come together, have a laugh and chat about everything/anything that’s on their minds.

I want to raise awareness for mental health and help people enjoy running. Run leaves 6.30am from the Broadway Kiosk heading south for 2.5km which takes you to the end of Wattle Avenue Hove. Turn and return to make the 5km journey. It is becoming more common in society for men to suffer through mood disorders. I have experienced issues with stress, anxiety and depression and the two things I find

that help me through those times are talking to people and running. So I figured why not combine the two to try and help others? I want this group to be a place where guys can come together, go for a casual jog, have a chat and meet some new people. At worst, you will get some fitness and fresh air. I also see a huge opportunity to meet new people and create a network of blokes who can look out for each other. In addition to the running and chatting, I want to try and raise some funds for Black Dog Institute who do amazing work to help people with mood disorders.
