🎄 What a night!
Our 2025 Club Christmas Breakup was a huge success, with around 100 members and friends joining in for great food, great company, and plenty of festive cheer.
👏 Congratulations to our Croquet 9+ team on winning the season pennant, and well done to all our bowls players for a strong first half of the season.
🃏 The final Jackpot Joker draw delivered a surprise—Bill turned over the Joker on the second pick and took home $1,266. Well done, Bill!
🎁 Our Christmas Raffle was also drawn, with Urbicia winning first prize: a stay at a Marion Bay holiday house. Congratulations to all winners.
A big thank you to Tahlia and Bradley for their fantastic service behind the bar.

🚑 Resuscitation & Defibrillator Refresher:
A Vital Evening More than twenty members attended the Club’s resuscitation and defibrillator refresher on Thursday night, 6th November. The session was led by two enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainers from the Seacliff Surf Lifesaving Club, who delivered an engaging and informative presentation.

Attendees were surprised to learn how much the recommended procedures have evolved—making the refresher not only valuable but essential. It was a night well worth attending, with practical insights that could make all the difference in an emergency.

The Club has a defibrillator and first aid kit located in the north-western corner of the foyer.

Music at the Club – Sunday Session Recap
What a fantastic afternoon we had on Sunday 31st August at Club Holdfast! Around 100 music lovers gathered for our second Sunday Music Afternoon, and the atmosphere was electric.

From 2pm to 5pm, the Rockin’ Dally Roos kept the crowd moving with their lively rock and roll tunes. The dance floor was buzzing, with Madame President Sue and Barry leading the way—well done to both for setting the tone!

A special shout out to the Glenelg Line Dancing group, who brought energy and flair to the floor with their impressive moves. Even I gave it a go trying to keep up—and it was a blast!
