Community sport takes a village, and we are so grateful for ours. ❤️🦅

This morning we arrived at the fields to find several holes that needed immediate repair before games could safely go ahead. As I was dragging around soil, shovels and rakes, Harley didn’t hesitate. He came straight over and got to work alongside me, helping repair every hole and get the grounds game ready.

Harley is a special young man who has clearly learnt the value of hard work, kindness and generosity from his parents. While many people were still arriving for their games, Harley gave up his own time to help make sure our players could take the field safely and on time.

Thank you, Harley. Your willingness to step up, help out and give back to your club is exactly what community football is all about. We’re incredibly proud to have you as part of the Hawks family. ❤️🦅⚽

To all the incredible mums, grandmas, carers, step mums, and mother figures in our Hawks family, today we celebrate you! 💐

Thank you for the early mornings, the endless washing, the sideline cheering, the half time snacks, the emotional pep talks, the running around, and the unconditional support you give our players week in and week out. Our club simply wouldn’t be what it is without you.

Whether you’re on the sidelines every weekend, volunteering behind the scenes, helping in the BBQ or just being the safe place our kids come home to after a tough game - we see you, and we appreciate you.

Wishing all our amazing mums a beautiful Mother’s Day filled with love, laughter and maybe even a quiet coffee ☕️❤️

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Doonside Hawks ❤️🦅⚽️
