So excited for our Netball Premiership Reunion tomorrow!!!

Begins at 1:00pm with a Presentation for our Junior Premiership Teams and Junior League Medallists before the A Reserve and then a further Presentation for our Senior Premiership Teams and Senior League Medallists at around 2:30pm before the A Grade.

Afternoon tea provided at the marquee to be located on the tennis courts and drinks will also be available from there for the day.

Looking forward to seeing lots of past players and reminiscing on some great times. Can’t wait to see you there 🥰

❤️🖤🤍 MSENA COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS ❤️🖤🤍

Huge congratulations to Hallie Sealey (15&Under) and Shelby Weedon (13&Under) who were both a part of the MSE netball sides to participate in the SA Country Championships in Adelaide over the long weekend.

After a huge weekend of netball, both sides played off in the Quarter Finals on Monday where they both eventually bowed out.

A wonderful experience for the girls, who both played some wonderful netball and got the opportunity to test themselves at a higher level.

Well done, you have done us proud! 🤩

💞VALE SYMON PAPROTH💞

The Glencoe Football & Netball Clubs are deeply saddened to announce the loss of Football Club Life Member, Symon Paproth.

Symon was an extremely loyal, devoted and generous supporter of our Clubs. Widely known across the League as a passionate and vocal supporter, always able to be heard from the Stubby Booth. However, behind the scenes, Symon was devoted to the Club and passionate about making it the greatest it could possibly be.

Symon, his wife Jill and their young family moved to Glencoe in the 80s and quickly became an integral part of the community. Symon did play some football, but it is his off-field work that has shone.

Symon was a member of the Football Committee from 2011-2013 and was heavily involved in recruiting for many years. He was the major instigator of our current Sponsorship Program and has continued to be heavily involved in our sponsorship drive. He has also been instrumental in driving and undertaking works on many of our capital upgrades over time.

Symon and Jill started S & J Electrical from their home in Glencoe and built that business into the large business it is today as O’Brien Electrical, now run by two of his children, Bonnie and Dane. This business has been a long-term and very significant Sponsor of our Football and Netball Clubs, has always and continues to employ many of our players and has provided extensive in-kind support and services over the years.

Symon has always gone above and beyond in his efforts to build our Club and make it great, and his generosity has been beyond measure.

Symon was awarded the highest honour of life membership of the Glencoe Football Club in 2015. He has gone on to be a patron of the Club since 2020.

Symon and Jill have instilled in their family their commitment and generosity and Symon leaves us with a wonderful legacy. All three of his children and all four of his grandchildren have proudly worn the maroon & gold and his family continues to have an incredible impact on our Clubs.

We extend our deepest condolences to Symon’s wife Jill, his children Bonnie & Luke, Hayley & Lachlan and Dane & Jenna and his grandchildren Bailey, Tyler, Elka and Regan, as well as his brother Chris and the rest of his extended family.

We cannot thank Symon enough for his incredible contributions to, and support of, our Clubs and for the amazing legacy he has left for us. Taken too soon, we all deeply feel your loss. We will dearly miss you and you will be forever loved and cherished, may you now Rest In Peace 🙏

A celebration of Symon’s life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday 9 June at the Carinya Gardens Chapel, with the wake to commence from 1:00pm at the Glencoe Football Club. 🕊️

Huge congratulations to all those involved in the U/17.5 MSEFL Interleague side who came away victorious in the South East Zone Regional Carnival today at Naracoorte after wins over LCFNL and KNTFL.

Special congratulations to Tighe Hurley, Sam Haase and Daniel Ferguson who were all named in the Team of the Carnival! 🌟

🌟 Layla Hawke - 17&Under

Unfortunately Layla has suffered a season ending ACL injury 😢 and will no longer be able to take part, however, it was still a significant achievement to be selected and hopefully she is back stronger than ever next season!

What a wonderful day we had at Glencoe last Saturday at our Premiership Reunion and Past Players Day.

It was excellent to see so many of our past players back in the Club and to welcome a number of our Premiership Players.
