That's a wrap on Chariots of Thunder 2026. Big thanks to Northline Speedway for putting on a fantastic event across the three nights.
Not the results I was chasing, but it was great to get back behind the wheel and knock the rust away after taking the winter off.
We just couldn't time in, which put us on the wrong foot all three nights. As we all know, if you can't make the dash, you're pushing s**t uphill to finish anywhere near the pointy end.
That didn't stop our new HFR NZ79 team from having a crack. Come feature time we were pretty racy. Looking back at the tape, I picked up 17 spots across the three features, finishing P5, P5 and P11, and grabbed Hard Charger on the final night as well.
Big thanks to Brett, Laura and the HFR team for making the effort to get our season started up in Darwin. The logistics of making that trip with two cars is no joke.
I'm en route to -Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway with the NZ79 as we speak for two weekends of racing. New track, new weekend, LFG! Catch you there Friday.
