Glen Waverley Cougars Cricket Club The Glen Waverley Cougars Cricket Team is a local cricket club located in the City of Monash.

We welcome all new juniors, seniors and supporters to be a part of the Glen Waverley Cougars community. The Club has been around since 1959 and boasts 20 senior premierships and 19 juniors premierships. Our club has a strong focus on junior development in our Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 age groups. It is our mission to develop all junior cricketers and transition them into our senior teams as

they move up the age groups. We are affiliated with the Eastern Cricket Association (ECA) and Inner South East Cricket (ISEC). Our senior teams play on Saturday afternoons and are based at Glen Waverley North Reserve (Glen Waverley) and Freeway Reserve (Mulgrave). Our junior teams play on Friday nights and are based at Glen Waverley North Reserve and Glen Waverley High School.

It’s semi final time! Come down and support our 1st XI as they chase a spot in the BHRDCA Dorothy MacIntosh Shield Grand Final!

Congratulations to the Glen Waverley Cougars 1st XI on claiming the inaugural cup over the weekend! 🏆

The Cougars were bowled out for 118, but had the ball on a string, rolling Mitcham for just 78 to take out a 40 run win. An incredible effort by the lads!

The Cougars and Mitcham are lucky enough to share Atlas Brokers as major sponsors, so they thought why not make the clash an annual event with some friendly rivalry and bragging rights on the line.

The Cougars are delighted to announce our Club Captains as we embark on season 2025/26. A few new (and old) names will take the reigns with Rick & Sak leading the 1st XI in Adam’s absence. We welcome Mehul, Mac and Clint into leading the 2nd XI and once again thank Abhi and Wes for taking charge of the 3rd XI.

We wish all Captains the best of luck and can’t wait to see the strong standards set over the pre season play out in the season proper!

LIFE MEMBER INDUCTEE - MICHAEL MUTTIAH

The Glen Waverley Cougars Cricket Club are delighted to announce our 24th Life Member - Michael Muttiah.

Michael’s nomination was put forward to the Committee and was unanimously passed at the Club’s recent AGM.

We congratulate Mick on this outstanding achievement - a truly worthy recipient, who’ll be inducted at the conclusion of the 2025/26 season at the Club’ Presentation Night.

Pre Season 2025/25 kicks off on Saturday 2nd August from 11:00am at Cricket Connect in Hallam.

We look forward to seeing all of you over the next 7 weeks as we get ready to launch into Season 2025/26.
