Running year-round, it’s a casual and welcoming space in the community where beginners can practice their skills, regular social bowlers can stay active, and anyone can come down to unwind and have fun.

Australia put on an absolute socceroo masterclass today, taking down Turkiye with confidence and flair.

The atmosphere at Glen Waverley Bowls Club was unreal — every near‑miss, every tackle, every goal had the whole place on its feet. When Australia scored, the room exploded with cheers, laughs, and that unbeatable World Cup buzz.

What a brilliant Saturday on the greens! Today’s Social Bowls featured a great mix of pairs and triples, with everyone enjoying some fierce but friendly competition. We managed to beat the rain, too—all teams finished just before the drops started falling.

Now, what better way to wait for the final results than with a cold ginger beer or a draught beer in hand? Cheers 🍻

The 2026 Australian Open kicked off today with the Mix Pairs and unlike Melbourne’s weather, our bowlers actually kept it together today.

Big cheers to Rod Peterson teaming up with Lita Ganguroo from Thailand the pair absolutely lit up their section and cruised through in style.

Shout out as well to Dianne McLeod and Mick Daly, who grabbed a solid first up win and put on a great show, even if the section didn’t quite fall their way this time. Still quality bowls and plenty to smile about.
