The 2025/26 Men‘s Pairs Championship was conducted tonight with the Warner Green running at its spectacular best.

Danny Frew and Mike Hendry emerged the winners over Rob Miravet and Graeme Young (playing as a substitute for the unwell Barrie Jackett). As oft seen in pairs, the heads were tight and changed position regularly. With a few unfortunate results for Rob and Graeme and a relentless consistency on the draw from Danny and Mike the margin kept growing before finishing at the final 20-10 scoreline.

Congratulations to Mike on his 4th pairs title at Burwood and Danny winning his first pairs at Burwood having returned to the club this season.

We are very proud to announce that our very own Glen Sodaitis, is the Eastern Ranges Men’s Champion of Champions.

In less than ideal weather conditions Glen played against Keith Lewis from Cardinia Waters. Glen jumped out to an early 14-4 lead, before Keith came back at him to cut the lead to 6 shots (15-9). From there Keith wasn’t able to get any closer with Glen running away to a 25-14 win.

We would also like to congratulate the Ladies Champion of Champions winner, Karen Barton from Heathmont and Runner-up Barbara Vaughan from Mulgrave Country Club for a cracking contest in tough conditions. Thanks to Eastern Ranges for another well run event.
