Baby Mo has always been pure sunshine ☀️ taken not long after he came home from his big trip to the equine hospital for intensive care to save his little life. So glad he is here with us.

Well she is currently much fluffier but it’s time to get cracking with this giant barbie baby again! Looking forward to seeing what the next few months bring and how she will develop. Planning on building up some strength before taking Nim to her first little outings. I would love to strive for the young horse classes with her but only time will tell if she’s ready! Being a very large girl, 17.1hh already at 3.5 years old, we may need to give her some extra time to develop which will all be worth it in the end. There are 0 expectations or pressures to get anywhere quick, I’m just excited to see where everything lands. Watch this space!

F1 Simply Taboo on her way to overall reserve champion over the two days at Shirley Heights Equestrian Centre. 📸 thanks for the amazing photos and capturing these happy moments Derek O'Leary.

⭐️ reserve champion for the Yarra valley dressage competition
⭐️reserve champion only by 0.1% for the entire weekend across both days.

This weekend was a wild one competing both days down at Shirley Heights Equestrian Centre for their dressage championship and the Yarra Valley Dressage Club competition. Tabitha and I were reserve champion combination over the entire weekend, missing out on champion by just 1 jackpot point (0.1% off a second win)!

Over the weekend we managed to win our final test, score two 2nds and a 5th place in our first test to blow out the cobwebs after a 6 month competition hiatus. Tabitha absolutely knocked it out of the park receiving 3 scores above 71% from judges over her 4 tests with the highlight being over 72% in the 1.2 and a new PB! I cannot tell you how proud I am of how far this horse has come and that all the hard work is starting to really shine through. To say I’m exciting for our future together would bean understatement. Tab’s improvement from her last competition was so significant, both in the ring and how she handled the atmosphere. She has been a very spicy girl at times and has not been a straight forward young horse so to have her produce the work she did in her tests and the warmup has just made me so happy. She’s feeling super confident and happy in her work and now definitely ready to start thinking about the higher levels. We go such positive comments from the judges with a few 8.5s! So may huge milestones for us.

Another massive thankyou to Shirley heights and Yarra valley dressage club for running such a wonderful weekend. So lucky to have such a beautiful venue at our door step. A huge thankyou also goes to my amazing mum Alison Steele who is just the most incredible support, I couldn’t do it without you! More photos to come!

When the yearling moves like this!! Don’t think any of our horses have had as much natural talent and potential this young! So surprised no one has even come to view gorgeous Jolita, she’s going to be something very special.
