🔥 PLAYER RE-SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT – CLINT ‘SYMESEY’ SYMES 🔥
The Gladstone Suns are pumped to welcome back Clint “Symesy” Symes for his 2nd season in the Suns jersey! 🔵🟡🟠🔴
Hailing from a strong football pedigree in Perth, WA, Clint brings serious experience to the Suns, including time in the WAFL Development Squad – and it shows every time he steps onto the field.
A big-bodied midfielder who thrives in and around the contest, Symesy reads the play brilliantly, positions himself perfectly around the packs and knows exactly how to use the footy when it counts. 💪🏉
In 2025, Clint was proudly awarded Senior Clubman of the Year – a reflection of his tenacious leadership and infectious commitment to integrity on and off the field.
A true leader at the club, Symesy sets the standard every week with his attitude, effort and dedication to the Suns culture.
Not only is Clint recommitting on the field, he’s also stepping up in 2026 as our U15’s Coach, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of Suns.
We’re stoked to have you back mate – let’s make 2026 a massive season!

The second round of the Queensland Government’s Play On! Sports Vouchers will open Today, Thursday January 29! 🏉

Get in quick for your chance to secure a $200 voucher that can be put towards your child’s registration fee to participate in AFL Capricornia competitions in 2026!

Set up an account in the Queensland Sport and Recreation’s Enquire system: https://sr-cp.sr-enquire.cloud/login
This will make applying and using your child’s Play On! Sports Voucher much easier.
Every Queensland child aged 5 to 17 is eligible for one voucher per financial year. If a child received a Play On! Sports Voucher in Round 1 (August/September 2025), they won’t be eligible for this round.

Reminder for all parents and guardians of our under 18 players needing to register for season 2026, don’t forget to claim the $200 Good Sport voucher (previously called Fairplay)being offered by our state government, it is not means tested and available to all children under 18.
