What another Winch Comp! The Write Off team paired up again with Full Throttle Racing and Quality Nonsense forming UAE FrKeanan Barwickrs to Scott n Rowan and Alex n Brody for teaming up with us). Unfortunately from a calculation error we ended up actually placing 5th overall for the weekend but we’re still stoked with this and frothing to get to the next comp in the new year.

The weekend was definitely a tough one and all teams did well against the tough stages we had to complete so big ups to all teams on a cracker weekend!
The Write Off Car performed so well all weekend on all stages until Sunday Morning, Cam got a little confident on the winch wall on stage 9 and felt like he had it in the bag but slid back catching traction on a tree root and ripping a few teeth out of the rear diff but we still finished the stage with a few cluncks and bangs on the way out of the creek. Cheers to Alex in Quality Nonsense for lending us his spare centre so we could finish the weekend.
The only other problem the car had was that we snapped the rope twice on Stage 10 trying to lift the nose out of a steep muddy hole but got out and finished the stage.
Was good that we got 2 stage 2nd places on Stage 2 (Saturday Morning Drive Stage), Stage 9 (Sunday Morning Creek stage) even though we blew the diff and also walked away with a Stage win on Stage 8 (Saturday Night Winch/Drive stage out the back)
We have started to implement some ideas for improvements to the Write Off truck so hopefully can get them sorted for the next comp!
