The Gladstone Regional Indoor Sports Centre is really starting to take shape!

There has been plenty of progress since our last update, with internal spaces now becoming much easier to recognise and the structural steel rising over the site.

๐Ÿ€ The recessed area in the first photo will accommodate the ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ซ
๐Ÿšฟ Brickwork is taking shape around the ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฌ
๐Ÿค The ๐ฆ๐ž๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ฆ is also starting to emerge
๐Ÿ—๏ธ And outside, the structural steel is giving us our clearest indication yet of the scale of the new facility.

It's exciting to see more of the plans becoming a physical space with every update.

Exciting progress is being made on the Gladstone Regional Indoor Sports Centre project, construction has reached a major milestone this month, with the building slab now complete.

Since works commenced earlier this year, the site adjacent to Kev Broome Stadium has transformed from a vacant block into a fully prepared foundation ready for the next stage of construction.

Over recent months works have included:
๐Ÿ”น Site establishment and preparation
๐Ÿ”น Earthworks and bulk fill activities
๐Ÿ”น Installation of foundations and underground services
๐Ÿ”น Reinforcement and formwork installation
๐Ÿ”น Concrete slab pouring and finishing

With the slab now complete, attention will soon turn to structural steel works as the new facility begins to rise above ground.
