The first of our regional championships is over and wow what a success. The Australian Championships is fast approaching and what will be here before we know it is the 2022 International in the UK. So we can continue with our amazing fund raising campaign we are now calling for expressions of interest in participating in the UK champs but also anyone willing to help with the fund raising. We love to see our amazing fund raising teams doing such a great job but we see the same faces over and over again and they need help.

Keeping Your Kids Active.. 🥋🥋🥋🥋
As kids grow older it can be a challenge keeping them active due to increasing demands at school, feeling like they're not good at sports, lack of active role models or busy working families. In spite of these barriers we can teach kids to love physical activity and help to fit it in their every day lives.
When kids are active, they benefit from strong muscles and bones, healthy weight, reduced risk of Type 2 Diabetes, better sleep and a more positive outlook on life.
Physically active kids are more likely to be motivated, focussed and successful at school.
So there's a lot to gain from physical activity and you can encourage this by the following -
1️⃣ Choose the right activity for their age - If you don't they may become bored or frustrated.
2️⃣ Give kids plenty of opportunity to be active - provide equipment, sign them up to classes or teams, take them to playgrounds or other active spots.
3️⃣ Keep the focus on fun - They won't do something they don't enjoy.
Obviously all kids fitness personalities are different - personality traits, genetics, athletic ability etc.
Whatever their fitness personality, all kids can be physically active. A parents positive attitude can help a child who is reluctant to exercise. Be active yourself and support your kids interests. If you start this early enough your kids will come to regard physical activity as normal and fun.
