A gentle reminder from your friendly neighbourhood 24/7 gym 🀭

24/7 access means members can train anytime.

It does not mean the gym magically becomes staffed at 2pm, 8pm, midnight or whenever someone brings along a β€œpotential member” for a little look around.

Staffed hours are posted on our socials, front door, reception desk and cubicle area… because transparency is kind of our thing.

And if you are ever unsure, we are contactable 24/7 β€” so there is always a way to check first 🀍

Casuals and guests are welcome during staffed hours only β€” so we can register them properly, keep everyone covered and protect our members, our business and our insurance obligations.

Winter Solstice β€” Sunday 21 June 2026 πŸŒ™
The longest night of the year.

In yoga, we are reminded that stillness is not stagnation.

Just as nature moves through growth, harvest, release and rest… so do we.

The winter solstice invites us to turn inward for a moment β€” to honour the quiet, release what no longer serves us, and make space for the gradual return of light.

A few gentle ways to mark the day:

πŸ•― Light a candle and sit quietly for five minutes
πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Practise slow, supported yoga or simply lie in Savasana
🌬 Take a few long, conscious breaths β€” inhale what you wish to nurture, exhale what feels heavy
πŸ“ Write down something you are ready to release, and something you want to gently grow
🍡 Make something warm, nourishing and comforting
🌿 Spend a little time outside… notice the sky, trees and cool air. Ground yourself β€” hug a tree if you feel called to… and talk to the crows if you know, you know πŸ€­πŸ˜‚

DOWNWARD DOG ISN’T THE POINT πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

One of the greatest misconceptions about yoga is that it is about becoming more flexible.

It isn’t.

In traditional yoga, the physical poses (Asana) are only one limb of the Eight Limbs of Yoga.

The pose is not the destination.

The pose is the teacher.

Downward Dog invites us to find balance between effort and ease.

To ground ourselves while remaining open.

To breathe when things feel uncomfortable.

To stop forcing and start listening.

Some days your heels touch the floor.

Some days they don’t.

The lesson remains the same.

Can you be present with where you are today?

Can you let go of where you think you should be?

Can you trust the support beneath you?

Yoga begins to transform us when we realise the practice was never about mastering the pose.
