Tom Doyle is back for 2027!

The ultimate utility, Tom has the ability to impact the game forward, in the ruck and down back, making him one of the most versatile players in our squad.

A cracking season has seen Tom earn a league invitation, particularly after making the move down back midway through the season, where he quickly established himself as a key part of our defensive unit.

Tom has become an important part of our foundations, and we’re thrilled to have him locked in for another season.

We’re keen to see Tom get back into it for 2027 and continue building on what has already been a fantastic season.

GRAND FINAL WEEK | TEAM SELECTION DINNER 🏆

Grand Final week is here, and we’re looking forward to bringing the club together for our Grand Final Team Selection Dinner!

The dinner is open to all families and friends of the Gisborne Giants — everyone is welcome to come along, support our players and enjoy a great night together as we prepare for the biggest games of the season.

📅 Thursday 10th September
📍 MRSP Pavilion
🍽️ $20 – Meal & soft drink
🍺 $25 – Meal & alcoholic drink

Meal options: Chicken schnitzel, chicken burger or beef burger.

We’ll also have Joker Poker on the night, with a winner guaranteed, as well as our Meat Tray Raffle with tickets available on the night.

Please complete the dinner form attached and have your numbers submitted by Tuesday night so we can finalise.

Then, once the games are done on Saturday, the clubrooms will be open Saturday afternoon for everyone to come back.

Good luck to all our players, coaches and volunteers in the week leading into the Grand Finals. Get around each other, prepare well and enjoy the opportunity.

We’re excited to have Jade back in Giants colours for the 2027 season!

A mature and experienced player, Jade is a dominant force through the midcourt, using her speed, vision and composure to make an impact. Her ability to transition from defence into attack makes her a constant threat for opposition teams.

Jade’s love for the game is evident in the determination, intensity and commitment she brings to every game. She is a valued member of our club and we can’t wait to see her continue to make her mark on court in 2027.🧡

The Gisborne Giants Football Netball Club is absolutely thrilled to announce a massive signing for the 2027 season.

Melbourne Vixen #41 Kim Borger is officially putting on the orange and charcoal! 💥🏐

An elite goaling talent, Kim brings a wealth of experience to the Giants. Having competed at the highest levels in Australia and internationally—including the ANZ Championship, Suncorp Super Netball, and overseas—her game sense, cool head under pressure, and lethal accuracy in the circle will be a massive asset to our squad.

Beyond her court craft, Kim’s leadership and knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to build a strong pathway from our junior ranks right through to our senior program.

Blake is back for 2027!

Our key back and leader down back is locked in for 2027 and is already keen to hit the pre-season and come out firing next year.

Blake continues to build an impressive resume with the Giants, featuring in a number of key statistical categories across the league and establishing himself as a crucial part of our defensive unit.

His leadership, consistency and ability to compete down back will be a huge part of our plans moving forward.

We’re excited to see Blake back out there in 2027 and continue helping us build towards the future.

Oscar is back for 2027!

After another cracking season, we’re thrilled to have Oscar committing to the Giants for 2027.

His fast speed, hard-at-the-footy nature and clean skills are exactly what we need as we continue to build towards the future.

Oscar brings plenty of energy and competitiveness to our side, and we can’t wait to see what another big pre-season can bring as he continues to develop his game.

AJ Craske — Signed for 2027

We are delighted to announce that AJ Craske has committed to the club for 2027!

After another strong season at the helm of our Netball Department, we are thrilled to have AJ continuing to lead the way as we look to build on the foundations that have been established over the past few seasons.

AJ has played an important role in the continued growth of our netball program, with a strong focus on developing our young and upcoming players and creating an environment where players can grow, learn and enjoy their netball.

Looking ahead to 2027, AJ will continue to focus on player development, building a strong club culture and creating pathways for the next generation of players, while also aiming to take our teams to greater success on the court.

We know there is plenty of hard work ahead, but having AJ committed and continuing to drive the program gives us great confidence in what the future holds for our Netball Department.

We’re excited to see what AJ can continue to achieve in this space and can’t wait to see the next chapter of our netball program take shape.

Welcome back for 2027, AJ!
