πŸ—“οΈ Friday 7th & Saturday 8th of August

Jamie Murray is a highly respected Australian equestrian based in Victoria, best known as the 1992 Australian Senior Jumping Champion. He is an Equestrian Australia Level 2 Showjumping coach.
Jamie Murray is widely recognised for producing and competing showjumpers up to international Grand Prix and World Cup levels.

Catering for riders and horses jumping 50cm to 110cm+

One hour lessons (max 3 per group)

$60 per lesson

* Subsidised lessons are available for riders with a an OTT claimed as part of the official OTT Community. Horse racing name and microchip number must be provided to receive the discount.

VALE REG CLELAND OAM

The Melbourne Showjumping Club community is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Reg Cleland and wish to extend our thoughts and best wishes to Reg's wife Fran and his extended family and friends.

As Chairman of the Melbourne Showjumping Club for 20 years, Reg was an integral member of our club. Within our club, Reg spent hundreds of voluntary hours giving back to the sport through course building, officiating and encouraging the next generations of riders to love the sport. His warmth and generosity helped shaped many of our countries great competitors and officials.

Reg served on the Equestrian Victoria and Equestrian Australia Boards and was a national jumping selector. His unwavering dedication and passion helped grow jumping in this country and we are all indebted to his service.

In January this year, Reg was recognised for over 60 years of service to equestrian sports with an Order of Australia medal in the Australia Day Honours list. An inductee of the Victorian Showjumping, Equestrian Victoria and Equestrian Australia Hall of Fames, Reg has been recognised nationally as an integral proponent of equestrianism.

Reg's impact on our club and the broader jumping community cannot be understated, and we hope to continue on in his legacy for years to come.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for coming to the freshmans day at IR Roberston reserve tomorrow.

The day will be relaxed and informal but still please try and keep things moving in the ring so it is a fair day for everyone. If you see a pole down, please lend a hand and pick it up. We’d love it if you could please jump in to give us a hand with course changes as well.

As a very rough guide , we will aim for something like:

10.am – Poles
10.30 – 50cm
11.00 – 60cm
11.30 – 70cm
12.00 – 80cm
1.00 – 90c,
2.00 – 1.00 and above

If there is no-one else ready for a height , we will put it up so please give yourself time to arrive in case it is running early.

If there are enough people interested we can put on a bbq at lunch time as well.

See everyone tomorrow at 10am

Dear Melbourne Showjumping Club community,

After much deliberation and careful consideration of the current economic climate, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this coming weekend’s MSJC Autumn Classic at Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre until November 2026.

As a non-for-profit and volunteer run club, we understand that our jumping community is feeling the weight of increased travel costs and associated financial pressures. As a club that fosters and promotes grassroots participation in our sport, we want to ensure we can provide a quality event at a time that enables full participation from our community, from grassroots to seasoned competitors alike.

All competitors that have entered our event will receive a full refund. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this event cancellation may cause, however please know that this was not a decision the committee made lightly.

As a thank you to those who continue to show our club and jumping community support, we are offering free freshmans at our club’s home ground IR Robertson Reserve in Gisborne South on Saturday 18th April from 9am for anyone looking to have a jump this weekend.

We will commence with cross rails and will go up in height in accordance with rider demand. All EV registered riders are welcome to participate, regardless of whether they are current MSJC members or not. If you would like to join us, please email [email protected] with your name and preferred heights.

We thank you for your understanding at this time and we hope to see you all in November for the MSJC Spring Classic.
