What a fabulous day the Pyrenees Petanque Club turned on yesterday for the first round of the Golden Boule. Their friendly welcome and cameraderie throughout the day was as warm as the Autumn colours of the ornamental pear trees that surround their pistes. There were a few close games, but on all we were beaten by a better team on the day. 20:10. The BBQ lunch was delicious after the match, and a great way to finish the day. Thank you Pyrenees Petanque Club and look forward to seeing you down the track.

After a cold start (zero°) Ballarat turned on a beautiful day for petanque. The day was competitive, social and friendly with 18 teams competing for the N-W Region Challenge Cup. MMPC was represented by 10 players over 2 teams: Blue and Red. It was a successful day for MMPC with Blue team winning all 10 games and bringing home the trophy. Refer mypetanque website: for more detailed results. Big thanks to Danny and Doreen Green for all their behind the scenes work, and all competing players.

What a fantastic weekend of petanque at Apollo Bay for their annual mixed triples competition. Friendly, competitive, and challenging in a relaxed and casual environment. The bad weather predicted never eventuated, preferring to rain at night. Thanks to the Apollo Bay Petanque Club for a well run competition and a special thanks to Chris Jamison for her help with parking and the tips on the local gastronomical delights. After two tough days of competition, congratulations to our Mt Macedon Triples team of Caroliza Job, Paul Fox and Rhonda Shears for coming a credible 4th place out of 32 teams.
