🏇✨ What a fantastic day at our Jump Equitation Training Show! ✨🏇

From perfectly ridden workouts to flying over jumps, our riders showed off their skills, determination, and some seriously impressive horse-human partnerships! 💙🐴

The best part? This wasn't just about ribbons and scores. Our Training Shows are designed to give riders the chance to experience competition in a supportive, low-pressure environment where learning, confidence-building, and having fun come first.

We saw:
⭐ Expertly ridden equitation workouts
⭐ Riders conquering new heights
⭐ Coaches offering encouragement every step of the way
⭐ Amazing helpers keeping everything running smoothly
⭐ Plenty of smiles, laughter, and "I can't believe I just did that!" moments

A huge congratulations to every rider who stepped into the arena. Whether you were riding your own horse, or one of our leases you should be incredibly proud of your efforts. 💪

EXPERIENCED COACH WANTED

Zia Park is a busy, well established riding school with a large school horse team located in Gidgegannup in the Perth Hills. We are seeking an experienced rider and coach to join our team. If you are a competent rider with coaching experience, we want to hear from you! We are looking for a person with experience coaching adults and children who holds an EA, PCA or equivalent qualification or is willing to work towards accreditation. Gail Simms is an EA Level 2 General Coach and Coach educator who can help you on this journey.

This is a full time role, the roster includes weekend work. Part time will be considered, but weekend availability is essential.

🌊🐎 Beach rides to finish the summer right!
Our wonderful lease clients took the horses down to the beach last week for a splash, a play, and some well-earned fun in the sand. There’s nothing quite like salty air, happy horses, and big smiles to wrap up an amazing summer. So proud of our riders and grateful for these special moments with our horses. ☀️💙

🔥 Eventing Riders — This One’s Big! 🔥

Join us for a three-day Eventing Program covering all three phases of competition, with cross country sessions coached by international eventing rider Kenya Wilson. This program is designed to build confident, capable event riders — whether you’re stepping up a level or sharpening your skills across the board.

🐎 What You’ll Learn:

✨ Dressage
• Improve your test riding and accuracy
• Show off your horse’s strengths and improve problem areas
• Ride correct figures to maximise your score

✨ Show Jumping
• Practice courses and exercises to refine position, rhythm, line, and control
• Develop your horse’s balance, confidence, and consistency for clear rounds

✨ Cross Country
• Learn to ride XC correctly and safely
• Develop balance and control at speed
• Navigate a course of jumps appropriate to your level and confidence

⏰ Dates: 12-14 January

🎯 Who It’s For:
Intermediate / Experienced riders (confident cantering in open spaces in 2 & 3 point, jumping 65cm+). You're welcome to attend, even if you are not a regular rider at Zia Park and you’ll be grouped with riders your age and experience so you can learn, progress, and have fun!

🎄🐴 Merry Christmas from the Zia Park Herd! 🎉

Well, we made it through another year of hooves, happy riding, and horses who definitely knew when the camera was out. 😂

From tiny tots getting their first trot 🐣 to seasoned riders tackling all riding disciplines, it’s been a year full of laughs, progress, and unforgettable moments. Whether you rode one of our steady schoolmasters, occasionally naughty ponies, or your own horse, we’ve loved every minute with you!

🌟 Thank you to our amazing clients of all ages, supportive families and friends, our brilliant coaches and dedicated stable staff — all of whom help riders grow their skills and their love for horses.

To the horses who carried us — literally — thank you for your patience, your grace, and your perfectly timed snorts when we whispered “easy”… but really meant “faster”. 😅

We’re so grateful for every lesson, clinic, and saddle-soaked afternoon at our beautiful riding school in the heart of the hills. Cheers to more canters, confidence, carrots, and joy in 2026!

✨ New to Competition? Try our Combined Training Clinic! ✨

Join us for a fun and educational two-day introduction to Combined Training — the perfect stepping stone into competitive riding for both adult riders and young riders aged 11+. Combined Training includes two phases: Dressage and Show Jumping — just like eventing, but without the cross country!
Bring your own horse or ride one of ours.

🐎 What You’ll Learn:
✨ Ride a Dressage test and a Show Jumping/Poles round at your level
✨ Learn how Combined Training is run, scored, and prepared for
✨ Develop confidence and arenacraft in both flatwork and jumping
✨ Participate in a mini competition on Day 2 — just for fun!
