Here are my Top 5 reasons to practise PreNatal Pilates:

1. Finding & building strength in your body to prepare for birth

2. It will Assist in helping you connect to your core by preparing the muscles for giving birth.

3. Breath awareness which will assist during the birthing process.

4. It will calm & soothe your nervous system & help you to destress.

5. Activate & strengthen Pelvic floor in an integrated way so the muscles are strong but also supple… finding a balance.

Creating your very own Yoga or Pilates space at home isn’t as hard as you might think & it can offer you a balance between home & studio classes especially when you are short on time. Here’s some tips on how to set up a calm peaceful space in your own home for the days when you can’t make it to the haven of your local studio….. ✨Set up your space near a window that looks out onto nature or even plants in pots on a balcony this will be both grounding & calming. ✨Make sure your space is set in a quiet corner that is free from any clutter which will help you to create some calm as well as focus your mind. ✨Be sure to include some meaningful objects that resonate deeply with you for example crystals, essential oils, a beautiful card that you have been given. ✨Invest in a quality Yoga or Pilates mat, for your Yoga practise props like 1-2 yoga blocks, a strap & a bolster would be ideal however you can survive with cushions & blankets that you already have at home if you don’t want to purchase a bolster. For Pilates adding some small equipment such as resistance bands & a small ball will be beneficial for your practise. The aim of our practise is always consistency whether we practise Yoga, Pilates or both. If you would like any recommendations on products always feel free to DM me. Meet the beautiful Emma Emma is in her second trimester & has been working consistently in the Prenatal Pilates class on maintaining her strength where we adapt her movement programmes as her body changes & prepares for birth. Emma not only looks amazing but most importantly she is feeling good
