Welcome to Gerringong Surf School, who have renewed their ASI Accredited Surf School status.

Located at beautiful Seven Mile Beach, just two hours south of Sydney, it’s an ideal spot to learn, progress, and enjoy the South Coast’s relaxed coastal vibe.

Owned and operated by Rusty Moran, a former professional big-wave surfer and advanced-level coach, the school reflects his lifelong commitment to the ocean. Rusty’s engineering background helps him break down surfing techniques into simple, effective steps, and his dedication extends to founding the Veteran Surf Project, supporting veterans through surf therapy.

Gerringong Surf School offers lessons for all ages and levels, catering to individuals, school groups and corporate groups. They specialise in kids surf & skateboard camps, surf therapy sessions, and advanced coaching with video analysis for those looking to refine their skills.

Sessions take place at Seven Mile Beach, a breathtaking stretch of white sand bordered by national parks and rolling green hills. With consistent, manageable waves for beginners and more challenging sections for experienced surfers, it’s one of the region’s most versatile and scenic surf locations. Dolphins and whales are often spotted nearby, adding to the natural magic of each session.

The beach offers toilets, showers, BBQs and picnic areas, while nearby Gerringong features cafés, coastal walks, art galleries and wineries - perfect for turning your surf day into a full South Coast experience.
