🌿 SPRING CLEAN AT THE HUB 🌿

Two Sunday mornings to help get the Hub looking its best!

📅 Sunday 1 November & Sunday 8 November
🕗 9 am–12 pm
📍 Geranium Community Hub

We’ll be tidying the front of the school and the quad ready for the fashion parade, plus tackling a few jobs at the amenities block and untarping the pool as the upgrade nears its final stages.

🥓 Bacon and egg sandwiches on arrival, with coffee also available.

If you can, bring shovels, brooms, blowers, wheelbarrows or pruning tools. Muscles to help us remove the pool tarp.

We know harvest makes this a busy time. Whether you can spare an hour or pop in for a little longer, we’d appreciate whatever help you can give.

🥞 Heading to church for a pancake breakfast at 9 am on 1 November? Please enjoy that first and join us afterwards there’s no need to choose between the two.

Come along to either Sunday, whenever it suits. Every bit helps!

📱☕ Technology not really your thing? That's OK!

Great news! The Geranium Community Hub has received funding through the Be Connected program to offer FREE, friendly digital skills sessions for people aged 50 and over!

No experience necessary, no silly questions and absolutely no pressure! 😊

Whether you've never used a computer, have a smartphone you're not quite sure what to do with, or just want to learn a few handy tricks, these sessions are for you.

We can explore everyday things like:

📧 Setting up your own email address and learning how to use it
📱 Getting more out of your phone or tablet
🛒 Using Click & Collect for your groceries
📦 Ordering and shopping online
🔐 Recognising scams and staying safe online
📸 Sending photos and keeping in touch with family and friends
💻 Finding information and using everyday online services

And if there's something else you'd like to learn, just ask!

We're thinking of holding a few relaxed sessions in the Geranium Hub Library, perhaps on Friday mornings in November, February and April.

We'll take things at your pace, with plenty of time for questions, a bit of practice and, of course, a cuppa and a chat!

But first, we'd love to know who's interested!

👇 Pop a comment below if you'd like to come along.

Would Friday mornings suit, or is there another day or time that would work better for you?

You don't need to know a thing about technology to join in. That's what we're here for! 😊

👗✨ FROM RACK TO RUNWAY

Who knew the Geranium Op Shop could be this glamorous? 😍

The Geranium Op Shop is taking over the Hub Library for a night of fashion, fun and some fabulous op-shop finds.

From Rack to Runway will feature outfits with a story to tell, modelled on the night and most of the pieces you see on the runway will be available to buy afterwards!

📅 Friday 13 November
🥂 6.30pm for a 7pm start
📍 Geranium Hub Library
🎟️ $10 entry
🍹 Complimentary drink, grazing table + lucky door prize

The Op Shop will open after the parade, so if something catches your eye on the runway, you might just be taking it home!

Proceeds will support the Zahra Foundation, Centacare and the Geranium Community Hub.

Grab a few friends and come along. This should be a really fun night! 💃
