Eagles senior school boys cup 💙💛 our annual senior boys footy carnival was held on Friday here in Gero.

What a day of footy with Nagle taking out the year 7/8 division and Geraldton Senior taking out the year 9/10 division. Both teams going undefeated throughout the day!

There is some serious young talent amongst the ranks in our town. Wishing all the lads a successful rest of their footy seasons.

Last week we were lucky enough to have the West Coast Eagles Women’s side in Gero for their 2 day community camp. It was a busy couple days for the girls with plenty of school visits, a youth girls training session and a coaching master class from AFLW great Daisy Pearce.

Just another step in the right direction for women’s and girls footy in our region 🦅

Next Thursday we have an amazing opportunity with the West Coast Eagles W side in town for their 2026 community camp.

Our youth girls are in for an unforgettable experience with a special training session run by the AFLW side.

To make things even better the AFLWs best ever player and now coach Daisy Pearce will be hosting a coaching workshop, sharing her knowledge, passion and experience.

WAFL cup tour Carnarvon edition! What an unreal afternoon in Carnarvon! We had over 85 kids come down to the footy clinic, bringing heaps of energy, smiles and fun as they were put through their paces by some former AFL and AFLW players. From kicking and handball drills, to games and teamwork activities, the effort and excitement from everyone was outstanding.

A massive shout out to the Warriors and Ramblers football clubs for making this day possible and letting us use their facilities and oval.

Last week we had several players from the Freo Dockers women’s team up here in Gero to run a bunch of school clinics, all in preparation for our year 5/6 girls footy carnival which was held on Friday. We had 12 schools compete which is more then ever before. The same carnival last year we had only 4 schools participate. Girls footy is well and truly front and centre in the region and growing rapidly! Congratulations to our winners of the carnival Rangeway Primary school. The day was a great success and we can’t wait to do it again next year. 🏉
