Another exciting night at GBSC this evening, with our final four U17 teams taking to the pitch for the Knockout Cup Semi Finals!

🔥 Olympic vs Strath Lions
🔥 La Fiamma vs Rovers

Both games were fast-paced and fiercely contested, with every player giving it their all knowing a place in the Grand Final was on the line.

Tonight marks the end of the 2026 season for Olympic and Rovers. Congratulations to both teams on their season, and well done to every player, coach, manager and supporter. 👏💙

The 2027 Belt Up NAIDOC Ball Design Competition is still open - and your design could be next 🎨⚽

We invite the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to take part. You could score a $1,000 New Balance voucher, with the winning design printed on hundreds of free footballs for our community!

🏆⚽ WHAT A DAY OF FOOTBALL ON 8TH STREET! ⚽🏆

There was lots of excitement on 8th Street today as another big day of the GJSA season wrapped up!

For our U7–U10 players, today marked the end of their 2026 season. 💙⚽ A huge congratulations to all of our youngest players on a fantastic season of football. We hope you’ve had plenty of fun, made some great memories and can’t wait to see you back next year!

Meanwhile, things were getting serious for our U11, U13 and U15 teams as they battled it out in the Knockout Cup. 🔥

Today saw 10 teams eliminated from the competition, but every team fought hard right until the final whistle. 👏 For those whose Knockout Cup journey ended today – congratulations on your season and thank you to the players, coaches, managers, parents and supporters who have been there every week.

🔥 NEXT UP… SEMI FINALS! 🔥

The action continues next week, starting with the U17 Semi Finals on Friday night at GBSC, followed by the U15, U13 and U11 Semi Finals at the La Fiamma grounds on 8th Street.

📲 Match times will be available in Squadi by tomorrow morning.

And remember – just because your team has been knocked out doesn’t mean the football is over! Come down, support the remaining teams and enjoy what promises to be an exciting Semi Final round. 🙌⚽

A huge Thank you to Rigter's IGA for supporting us with your Junior Wind-Up happening tomorrow.

Through the IGA Community Chest Program, we were recently able to support the Geraldton Junior Soccer Association with a donation.

We love being able to give back to local organisations that help bring our community together and, most importantly, provide great opportunities for our local kids to get involved in sport, build confidence, make friends and have fun. 🙌

A big thank you to everyone involved with Junior Geraldton Soccer Association for the work you do for our young players and our community.

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting the next generation of local sporting talent! ⚽️💙

⚽🔥 WHAT A WAY TO SPEND A FRIDAY NIGHT! 🔥⚽

The U17 Knockout Cup certainly delivered tonight!

From the opening whistle, the game was fast, competitive and intense – every player knew exactly what was on the line.

With just 6 minutes remaining, Chapman looked to be heading through to the next round, leading 3–1.

But Rovers weren’t finished! 😮

⚽⚽ Reuben struck twice in quick succession, bringing Rovers level at 3–3 before the final whistle.

And that meant one thing…

😬 PENALTIES!

After a tense shootout, Rovers came away with the win, 4–3 on penalties, booking their place in next Friday night’s semi-finals. 👏🏆

And if tonight was anything to go by, next Friday should be another fantastic night of U17 football!

⚽🏆 U13 KNOCKOUT CUP – ROUND 1 COMPLETE! 🏆⚽

Today saw the first game of the U13 GJSA Knockout Cup, with Chapman Yellow taking on Abrolhos Odins.

Chapman Yellow came away with a convincing 6–1 victory, securing their place in the next round. 👏⚽

Unfortunately, that means the 2026 season has now come to an end for Abrolhos Odins. A big congratulations to the players, coaches and families on their season, and thank you for being part of the competition. 💙

🔥 And now we’re down to the final 8!

The remaining eight teams will battle it out this Sunday, with a place in the semi-finals on the line.

⚽🏆 U11 KNOCKOUT CUP – WHAT A START! 🏆⚽

Congratulations to all of our U11 teams on an incredibly exciting start to the GJSA Knockout Cup!

What a round of football! 🔥 Two of the games went all the way to penalty shootouts, making for plenty of excitement on the sidelines! 😬⚽

👏 Well done to all the players for the effort, determination and sportsmanship shown throughout the round, and congratulations to the teams progressing through to the Quarter Finals.
