29 ladies graced the greens at GBC today for our annual Patroness Day, with some sensational bowls witnessed.
Huge thank you to our Patroness Audrey Williamson for joining us for a delicious afternoon tea and her generous sponsorship.
We had a spider and then Audrey rolled the first bowl.

What's on this week at the GBC

A sensational drawn triples event today at the GBC sponsored by Goldfields Controlled Waste resulted in a once in a lifetime result with nothing separating the top two place getters.
Finishing equal on shots up,, ends won and shots against the match room announced that the winning combination of Wes Jones, Doc Watson and Steve Cooper (Thank you James GN for filling in for Steve for the photo opportunity) got the nod ahead of Joseph Criddle, Trevor Smythe and Nino Messina by a superior two shots scored on what turned out to be a fantabulous day on the grass.
Well done to Derek Parsons in the match room who ran a great event.
Thanks to GWC for the sponsorship, we are all very excited to have you on board for the 2026/27 seaon

Good bowls to our very own Neil and Kerry McIlwaine competing in the National Bowling Arm Championships starting this Sunday!!

This year’s WA Sandgroper Armed Bowlers have chosen a Side of 17 to compete against the other States at Club Tweed (NSW), with the host State of QLD coordinating the 12th National Bowling Arm Championships, from Sunday 6th – Friday 11th September 2026.

UPDATE: Fiona made it thru to final 8 to be defeated by Jenny Parker and Anne lost this morning to J O’Neill.
