GREAT MORNING ON THE COURT 🏐🔥

It was brilliant to see the court with our returning regulars and new faces.

A special shoutout goes to our former beginners who have recently stepped up into the intermediate sessions. Seeing you execute the fundamentals under pressure and hold your own in faster drills proves that putting in the work pays off. Outstanding effort today, the progression is real. 📈👏

Round 2 delivered the heat, but Round 3 is about to turn it up. 🔥🏐

Last week, our 10 Men's Division teams left everything on the court.

Tonight, we go again!

⚠️ CAPTAINS & PLAYERS – CRITICAL REMINDER:

Tonight is Round 3, which means all grace periods are officially over.
- Uniforms: Matching kits are now mandatory. As per the by-laws, any player not in uniform will incur a strict 2-point penalty per set for their team. No exceptions.
- Fees: Any outstanding individual or team fees must be regularised tonight. If you are not financial, you will not be permitted to take the court.

Whether you're a volleyball fan or just looking for some high-energy local sport, get down to the courts and watch the action unfold. Spectators are always welcome.

ADULT BEGINNER SESSIONS ARE BACK! 🏐🙌

Our Friday night Adult Beginner Training is back.

Whether you are looking to learn the basics, shake off the rust, or just find a fun way to get fit, this is the session for you. No experience required,just turn up ready to learn.

📍 Focus: Skill development, game fundamentals, and social play.

🏐 Season 1 Men’s Competition Starts THIS THURSDAY!

We are kicking off on February 12th with a massive 10-team Men’s Division!

If you haven't registered your team yet, there is still time this week. You need a minimum of 6 players to lock in your spot.

📋 The Round 1 Checklist (Must Read):

1. VVI Registration (Mandatory for Round 1) You must be registered with Volleyball Victoria to step on the court this Thursday. No valid registration = No play.

- Link: www.revolutionise.com.au/gava/registration
- Select: "2026/7 RECREATIONAL Membership" (Adult or U18).
- If you have a valid registration already, you are good to go!
- Note: If you renew now, it'll cover until 31 March 2027.

2. Team Fees & Bond Team Registration ($900) and Bond ($240) are now due.

- Payment details: https://geelongvolleyball.com/registration/
- Need a payment plan? Our Treasurer is personally available at the courts every Thursday to make arrangements.

3. Uniforms You have a grace period until Round 3 (Feb 26) to get your kits sorted. After that, a penalty of -2 points per player, per set applies.

4. Outstanding Fees Any individual or team outstanding fees must be regularised by Round 3 (Feb 26) to continue playing.

🏐 Open Court / Training
Our second court is open every Thursday from 6:00 PM for general use!

- Cost: $10 per person/hour.
- Format: First-in, best-dressed.
- Training: Can be booked for training (Min 8 users / 4 per side) by prior arrangement.

Session 2 of our Season 1 Competition Trials hits the court THIS THURSDAY. This is the final run-around before the real games begin next week (Feb 12th).

📍 Round Robin Format

💰 Payment Info (Please Read):
- The trial fee is a one-off $5 per player.
- If you paid last Thursday (Jan 29): You do NOT need to pay again. You are covered. Just check in with your team.
- If this is your first session: Please bring $5 to register.

We are back on court TOMORROW for our Junior Grading & Selection Trials. This is your chance to shake off the rust and get placed in the right division for the upcoming season.

The Details:
📅 Dates: Wednesday 29th Jan & Wednesday 5th Feb
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM Sharp (Both days)
📍 Format: Full Round Robin (Boys & Girls). 15-minute quick-fire games.
💰 Cost: $5 per player (covers BOTH trial dates)

How it works: Every team plays every team. Results from these two weeks will determine your division for the season proper, starting Feb 12th.
