The Strength Academy U13 Primary School Weightlifting/ Athletic Development.

We want kids in our lifting program and are offering a low cost 'come and try' trial month for Primary School students turning 10 - 12 this year
• $ 50 all-inclusive intro: (includes VWA membership, all training and comp entry fees)
• One week intensive: Tuesday 29th March – Friday 1st April: 4-day practice to learn lifts, sprints and jumps at 4.15pm
• Sunday April 3rd: WEIGHTLIFTING COMPETITION + Athletic Performance Test Day
• Monday April 4th – Friday April 22nd: Training three sessions per week.
• Sunday April 24th: WEIGHTLIFTING COMPETITION + Athletic Performance Re-Test Day
Safe learning environment with technical learning from expert coaches with light training loads.

Finally able to get the kids back to lifting. 11 year old (almost 12) Joshua Digman is our first U13 lifter back on the competition platform. The details are written below, but we are wrapped to be back and are planning to make big inroads into filling all our teams in the u13, u15 and Youth (u17) age brackets. Thanks to funding from a generous anonymous contributor, we shall subsidize VWA memberships and competition entry fees for all our youth at the Geelong Club Event and Victorian Age Championships. Weightlifting is a fantastic sport full of challenges that offer fantastic performance and development opportunities for all young lifters. All kids 9 - 17 years of age in Geelong are encouraged to join our Weightlifting programs.

Weightlifting is fantastic for young kids, and we run age and development specific programs for youth school aged youth from 9 years of age. Weightlifting is fun, strengthens bones, joints and muscles, and improves the rate of applying force to help increase sprint speed and jumping height. Weightlifting is a fantastic tool to assist with sport and athletic development, and is a great sport in its own right. Practicing Weightlifting throughout our growing years in concert with other sports will optimise our kids potential. We offer coaching, training, VWA regional membership and our Geelong competition series inclusive in our youth age memberships. No joining fee and $90 per month for two weekly sessions and $120 per month for three+ sessions weekly.
