🤯🧠 It's You Are Okay | Mental Health help for teens and young adults and I have not been ok!
I have more to say on my journey over the last few months but it will come later.
In the last 12 weeks, my family has lost a 2-year-old to cancer, watched my dad get diagnosed with terminal cancer, and lost my mum's husband—three tragedies in 6-12 weeks.
6 years ago — before any of that — I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I was a people-pleaser; I lost my marriage for a while; I lost friends; and I hit the darkest point of my life.
I didn't come back from that with one big decision. I came back by building a daily system: training, therapy, protected family time. Not because any single one fixes anything—because together they're the floor.
Right now, that floor is being tested harder than ever. I've upgraded to seeing a psychologist on top of ongoing counselling, and I've had to step back from work. And I'm still standing.
If you're a man reading this telling yourself you're "fine" — check that. Struggling isn't weakness. Building a system before you need it is the strongest thing you can do for yourself and the people who love you.
